Monday came real quick, but I’m ready for a new week + new goals + new intentions. Our weekend was chill AF and I got so much done. Which makes Monday just a tad less harsh.

Intentions for the Week:

  • Celebrate Toni’s birthday
  • Finish off the last 3 days of no added sugar cleanse
  • Do some volunteer work with Bay
  • Hit the Yolo County Fair
  • Drink 1/2 my body weight in ounces of water
  • Figure out 1st day of school outfits (mine too 😂)
  • Pick up Bay’s 8th grade schedule
  • Plan ahead for next week

Thirsty Thursday got the best of me. I’ll blame it on my Mom! We went to see The Lion King. Made a detour at Nugget after the movie for a bottle of wine. Found out they are having a sale on Bogle (my fave) $6.99 a bottle. So, we ended up getting 3. And a loaf of bread and cheese. Dinner!

Currently surviving on mass amounts of coffee, Lumify drops (THE best), kids chew-able Tylenol and my dark sunnies…ha! Seriously worth it. Sometimes you gotta get a little tips!

So, this week alone, I’ve had 5 people ask me about my blog. Not really sure why I post clothes. And why I always say “link in bio”. And “you make money?” Honestly, it never crossed my mind that everyone and their mothers didn’t already know what I was up too.

Morning!

I can’t remember the last time I said morning or had a blog post publish in the am!  So, this is BIG!  Ha!

It’s been a busy week.  Hence the lack of blog posts.  Crazy thankful for my Mom + Cory who have helped me uber Bay around from school.  The pig barn.  Riding lessons.  GATE.  I couldn’t have done it without them!

Weekend plans: a trip to Madewell to shop for jeans.  You guys, I ordered the black Berkley wash, which I LOVE.  Sized down, like I always do in Madewell.  And they’re too big.  Trust me, I haven’t lost weight either…lol.  But, I do like my jeans real tight.  Anyway, the size I need is on back order till FEBRUARY 23rd.  Real life problems 🙂  Trying to convince Cory to take me to our fave pizza spot, Masullo too.  I’m craving a day in the kitchen.  Promised GG stuffed bell peppers.  Thinking meal prepping egg cups.  Spaghetti meat sauce.  And I’ve been craving a roasted tomato soup.

I could go on and on, but let’s get to 5 things on my mind……

1. My new favorite jeans 👖 and would you believe me if I told you they are only $25? I’m gonna tell you all about em.

2. Wearing bright cheery yellow tops 💛and pretending it’s not freezing cold.  Bay and I both are sharing our #ootd’s today!

4. That Bogle chardonnay 🍷 I stuck in the fridge, because today is one of them days. It’s a minimum day.  Pig pens to clean 💩. Parent conferences. And Bays receiving an award at school tonight ❤️ So I’ll be drinking my dinner. Cheers 🥂

Before we get started with #ootd’s – let’s chat about the Ring Light, since I got so many questions about it.  Bay got this for Christmas.  And it’s legit!  Our house is a serious dungeon.  We have 2 windows, throughout the entire house.  And 2 sliders.  They are the length of our bottom floor, but still.  Our shack it dark!  AKA zero natural lighting.  Which makes taking photos really tricky.  This thing is a dream come true…lol.

{friday 5}

Happy frickin Friday!  I haven’t been this excited about Friday…since last Friday!  Tomorrow is December 1st!  Which means 26 days till Christmas.  But, doesn’t it kinda feel like we’ve been Christmasing already for months?  I’m nowhere even close to ready though…Ha!

Weekend plans: Bay’s having some homies for a sleepover, which means pizza 🙂  Ha!  Who’s going to the Dicken’s In the Valley Home Tour?  I can’t wait to see all the homes, especially the three Karen of Serendipity Boutique decorated.  Got a little sneak peek last week, but can’t wait to see them with all the finishing touches.  Fingers crossed the rain holds off for a bit Saturday evening so we can check out the Winter’s Tractor Parade.  Other than that, relaxing and finishing up our Christmas decor.  I still have yet to put any ornaments on my tree….well talk more about that below.

 

5 things on my mind…..

ONE – Naked Tree // Would it be bad if I left my tree naked?  So far I’ve got about 2,000 little white lights on our tree.  Every morning I come down the stairs and plug-in the lights. Sit back take it all in.  Having a tree in your home is crazy fucking magical.  I don’t care how old you are.  I’m struggling with the thought of over crowding the beauty of the simple tree with our 623 ornaments.  Ha!  To be completely honest, I just want to start all over with our Christmas decor (unfortunately that aint happening).  I’m craving a super minimal Christmas this year.  We’ll see how long I can put off ornaments.  I did buy new Pottery Barn Ornament Hooks, so many I’ll throw on a few?

TWO – 1958 McCall’s Magazine // 129 Ways To Get A Husband.  This is 100% not any tips or advice I think anyone should follow.  Just absolutely historical to read.  To think, a women possible wrote this in the 50’s.  It straight up kills me….for example:

#9 “sit on a park bench and feed the pigeons”  – get shit on and hope some dude wants to talk to you?

#16 “volunteer for jury duty” – what in the actual fuck?  Maybe you can land a convict?

#58 “get a sunburn” – I guess it’s better than being pasty?  Really?  A Sunburn?  I guess you’ll be super “hot” then?
