You don’t go to Target because you need something. You go to Target and let Target tell you what you need. Am I right? I went in for toilet paper + mascara and left with new leopard 🐆 PJ’s and a mug ☕️😂 didn’t even get the mascara.
All the things I have on my list and all the things I don’t need 🤷🏼♀️
Reentry is no joke. After a week off from work + school for Spring Break, we are back at it today. Not going to lie, I’m strugglin hard. I’m on my 2nd cup of coffee. And I’ve got an iced coffee in my near future. I walked into my office at 7:45 am this morning and instantly felt at home. There is something to be said about routine. Really, really missed mine. Although we had a fucking blast last week.
Intentions for the Week:
Get Timothy + Archie Spring Show ready
Eat healthy AF using my WW app
Drink a shit-ton of water (I don’t think I’ve had any since April 19th)
Start making my bed again (also haven’t made it since April 19th)
Clear out email inboxes (one had over 900 emails…FML)
I LOVE Easter time. Well, I love all Holidays. We have so many fun Easter traditions, which makes this Holiday so fun. I always fill Bay’s basket with all the things summer time. New swimsuit. Beach towel. Goggles. Cute floatie. I pretty much follow what my parents did when I was a kid. Always a swimsuit and saltwater sandals. Oh and lots of candy. You can’t forget the candy! It’s like a Christmas stocking, but with summer stuff. All the fun little goodies.
I used to be able to post all my goodies here, but now I have a tween that likes to read my blog and look at all my photos. And since I want her to be somewhat surprised, I’m going to save her exact basket for Easter morning. I’m sharing all kinds of ideas. Some are in her basket this year. Some I’ve used in previous years. I even got extra and did a boy basket too!
I try to think of things she’s going to need as summer approaches and Spring break rolls around.
Hey Monday! Anyone else think the Monday after Super Bowl should be a holiday? Because, hot damn, I’m tired. And I was in bed by 8pm. Technically I didn’t really even watch the Super Bowl. Really, I was just there for the food + booze + commercials. I bought a shit-ton of pool squares and didn’t win a dime. Typical. Our weekend was everything I’d hoped it would be. Chill AF. But, I still accomplished all the things too.
This week on the blog: Greek Salad over hummus. Abercrombie try-on. Bay Bakes. And we’ll see what else I can come up with!
Highlights from the weekend……
We started the weekend off with face mask night. Minus Kissey (she was sick) so we’ll have to do it again soon. My Mom had never done a face mask before so we treated her. I tried to get her to let me shave her lips too, but it was a no go. Maybe next time.
Three things are making this cold rainy Wednesday better ✨
1. My new favorite jeans 👖 and would you believe me if I told you they are only $25? I’m gonna tell you all about em.
2. Wearing bright cheery yellow tops 💛and pretending it’s not freezing cold. Bay and I both are sharing our #ootd’s today!
3. Bay’s ring light that made these early morning photos possible. I kinda want my own 💁🏼♀️
(I lied 🤥, I really have 4)
4. That Bogle chardonnay 🍷 I stuck in the fridge, because today is one of them days. It’s a minimum day. Pig pens to clean 💩. Parent conferences. And Bays receiving an award at school tonight ❤️ So I’ll be drinking my dinner. Cheers 🥂
Before we get started with #ootd’s – let’s chat about the Ring Light, since I got so many questions about it. Bay got this for Christmas. And it’s legit! Our house is a serious dungeon. We have 2 windows, throughout the entire house. And 2 sliders. They are the length of our bottom floor, but still. Our shack it dark! AKA zero natural lighting. Which makes taking photos really tricky. This thing is a dream come true…lol.
Crafting the perfect stocking doesn’t have to be crazy expensive. There is a science behind putting together a good one though. The perfect amount of sweets! #chocolate Unique small trinkets. Something to wear. And an item off the kiddo’s wish list.
Scratching your head for ideas on what the hell to get your tween? If somehow the teenager in your life made their way to the top of the “nice list” and deserve some good stuff Christmas morning, I got you! With the help of my very own 12 year old, we’ve rounded up some tween approved gift ideas that they will enjoy unwrapping. Just as much as you will enjoy gifting them. And let’s be real…the older they get, the trickier gift giving gets.
Here’s to happy smiles Christmas morning. And gifts they’ll actually keep…Ha!
Happy Hump Day/Cyber Wednesday. Since when did Black Friday + Cyber Monday sales stretch through Wednesday? NO complaining over here…that’s for sure. Here’s to hoping this becomes a trend. Because, I’m fully taking advantage of the 30-40% off at J.Crew right now.
Today I’m sharing this simple crisp white + denim number along with some super sale items that I’ve got my eye on right now.
