Friiiii-dayyyyy! I can’t even wipe the smile off my face today. Just happy AF it’s the weekend. Got up early, early this morning and cleaned the house from top to bottom. Even decorated for Spring a little too. I LOVE walking in Friday evening to a clean house. Makes starting the weekend extra sweet! You guys, we have hardly any plans….AGAIN! I’m sleeping in tomorrow, that’s #1 on my list. I’d love to work on the patio, if Mother Nature cooperates. Hope you have a good one!
With the start of the new season comes new recipes. Anyone else ready to fire up the barbie? With a cocktail in hand!

I have so many recipe ideas and not enough time. lol. Next week I’m trying a new burger recipe. Fingers crossed it turns out as good as I picture it in my head. Oh, and I’m going to give a new cookie recipe a shot. It has a secret ingredient. Any guesses?

I posted my lunch yesterday, which was these leftovers and I got lots of messages wanted me to tell you all about it.
Wasn’t it such a perfect weekend? Hey Mother Nature, keep up the good work! We rested. We relaxed. We enjoyed friends + family. And we had corned beef and cabbage. I gotta say, it was a good one.
But, hot damn…I woke up on the wrong side this morning. I’ve been grumpy AF and I can’t blame it on staying up too late or a hangover…Ha! Tomorrow will be a better day though, I’m sure of it!

So, I joined Weight Watchers! Some of you are into it. And some of you definitely are not. That’s totally fine. Since I’ve been getting a butt load of DM’s and questions, I’m going to share ALL THE THING Weight Watchers today. This is 100% my personal opinion. I am by NO means a health expert…lol. Just sharing what I know in hopes of answering some of your questions.
Backstory, I used Weight Watchers after Bailey was born – back in 2007. I lost over 25 lbs and became a lifetime member. Then…..I quit going.
My girlfriend Toni, who recently started Weight Watchers for the first time totally inspired me to go back. After hearing about her 18 lbs weight loss, I knew it was time to get my ass in gear. I recruited the OG’s, My Mom and Sister to join with me. Love you girls and thank you for all the support, recipe sharing, text messages! Let’s do this!
Does Weight Watchers really work?
Here we go…..I started Weight Watchers last Thursday, March 7th.
Today marks 1 week using the plan. Following it 100%. Some workouts + walking. But, mainly focusing on tracking my food. I did my weekly weigh in this morning and here are my results…….
Monday! When you don’t whoop it up on the weekend, Monday’s don’t suck quite as bad. Not going to lie, yesterday I straight up struggled. Kept trying to stay busy so I didn’t think about pouring a glass of wine or opening a beer..lol. Enjoy this sunshine and make today a good one!!

Friiiidaaayyyyy! 11 days left till SPRING! (I just googled it) Goodbye Winter. Gimme all the sunshine. I woke up early AF, like always. I made the decision to skip the gym and clean my house for 2 hours. And I feel really fucking happy about that decision. There’s something to be said about starting your day with a workout, trust me, I get it. But, leaving for work on a Friday morning with a clean AF house. It’s pretty close up there too. I did a little shimmy as I walked out the door. Ha!
Weekend plans: zip. zlich. nada. Which makes me slightly anxious. Being sober and all. What will I do all day? Anyway, have a great weekend! Do all the things. Have a drink or two for me, k?

What’s better than a big bowl of soup on a rainy day?
Sarah P’s Chicken Tortilla Soup, to be exact. This recipe is like circa 2002-ish?
It’s vintage! Kinda like mine and Sarah P’s friendship….old AF! lol
I rank this soup up there in my top 5. It’s packed with tons of flavor. You can make it real, real easy too. Grab a rotisserie chicken and you’ll have dinner on the table in 20 minutes. Just add your favorite taco toppings and you’ve got a winner winner chicken soup dinner.
Back in the “Letters To Santa” ages….When I used to host all the kids and all my homegirls over for a night of Holiday cheer. The kids wrote their letters. We sipped (guzzled) wine and had this soup. Every.Single.Year. I’ve had peeps request it. I can’t even count how many times I’ve emailed this recipe to friends and family.
Hi friends. Hope you all had a great weekend. This weekend I filled up “my cup” with the a work outs + good people + some early spring cleaning and decorating + meal prepping. Doing things that make me feel good. And things that make me forget my phone. What do you do to fill up your cup?
Taking long walks down each and every isle. Ahh, it’s one of my favorite things to do. Right when those automatic double doors open up, I beeline it for the floral section. I scope out the eucalyptus first. Always. Then walk about the the whole stem section once. Or twice to check out all the pretty blooms.
Next thing, I hit the coffee pot for a mini sample of coffee. I’m come back once or twice for a re-fill.
Every time I make a TJ’s run my DM’s fill up with questions on the New products. And what I got. So, I’m going to tell you ALL THE THINGS Trader Joe’s new arrivals. Everything I’ve picked up in 2019 that I loved. And a few that I legit hated too.
Things I’m Totally LOVING:
ABC Bars – 160 calories pocket sized delight. Soft chewy chocolaty dough with a creamy almond butter filling. They are gluten free + vegan! I’ve been really lazy with breakfast the last week. These have been my grab and go eat in the car on the way to work breakfast. They go incredibly well with coffee too.
Organic Buffalo Style Hummus – OMG!! So good! I dipped TJ’s plantain chips and fell in love with this hummus. I have buffalo chicken lettuce wraps on the menu. I’m planning to spread a layer of this hummus on the lettuce. Top with chicken. Sprinkle blue cheese. Doesn’t that sound so good? Stay tuned. I’ll tell you all about it.
Indian Fare Madras Lentils – I swore I didn’t love lentils for years. I was grabbing my mini coffee at TJ’s the other day and I wanted to droll of the Sample tray. It was this microwavable lentil packet with a piece of bread to dip. I rarely try the samples or buy them. There was NO way I could pass this one up. I haven’t made it at home yet, but plan to this weekend.
