This past Sunday, February 17th, was Nation Random Acts of Kindness Day. Out of all the cheesy “national days” I think this is one we could + should all get behind! Get outside your comfort zone…just a little bit. Kindness is straight up magic. And it can really brighten the shit out of someones day!
And to be completely honest, it’s a really great way to lift your own spirits too! It’s a two for one, baby!
For example: I was at Target the other day….go figure. Waiting in line. I let a women with #hellakids go in front of me at the self checkout. She was dumbfounded that I would let her go ahead of me. As though nobody had even done that for her before. She even offered to buy me the sugar free red bull I had in hand.
Which got me thinking…….
Just think if each of us do ONE simple random act of kindness each day. What if it became a chain reaction?
Here’s a list of simple acts that I came up with……
Happy President’s Day…..coming from the only person on earth that is working today. Lol! According to Instagram story polls, there are about 4 of us total. I cant bitch too much, since I did take Friday off for a long weekend in Tahoe. Cold very cold and snowy Tahoe. Hope your Monday is off to a great start. It’s going to be a good week! I can just feel it!
Intentions for the week:
insta-story fried rice recipe
drink more water (I’ve been really bad)
spring wreath DIY
balance my checkbook #scared
watch Bay horseback ride
celebrate 2 girlfriends birthdays
play around with some new photo editing apps
hit 10,000 steps per day
make a new sheet pan dinner
work in my tiny garden/flowerbed

This week on the blog: Random Acts of Kindness. Easy sheet pan dinner. Friday 5.
Highlights from the weekend….
Thursday evening we ventured over the hill and through the snow to South Lake Tahoe.
Hey Monday! Anyone else think the Monday after Super Bowl should be a holiday? Because, hot damn, I’m tired. And I was in bed by 8pm. Technically I didn’t really even watch the Super Bowl. Really, I was just there for the food + booze + commercials. I bought a shit-ton of pool squares and didn’t win a dime. Typical. Our weekend was everything I’d hoped it would be. Chill AF. But, I still accomplished all the things too.
This week on the blog: Greek Salad over hummus. Abercrombie try-on. Bay Bakes. And we’ll see what else I can come up with!
Highlights from the weekend……
We started the weekend off with face mask night. Minus Kissey (she was sick) so we’ll have to do it again soon. My Mom had never done a face mask before so we treated her. I tried to get her to let me shave her lips too, but it was a no go. Maybe next time.
Happy Monday friends! Hope you all enjoyed that sunshine over the weekend. Yesterday was absolutely gorgeous. Made me so ready for Spring. January is like the longgessttt month ever…and we’re in the final week. I’m looking forward to flipping my calendar to February and a fresh start on a new month. One with less pressure. Less shit to do…..Kinda. Amway, hope your Monday is off to a good start. I’m getting my hair done today, which always puts a smile on my face!
Intentions for the Week:
write thank you notes
pull out valentines day decor and get festive af
share stuffed bell pepper recipe
catch up on laundry
delete photos off my phone
hit my fitness + water goals
build the Omega Nu website…finally
have my mom + sis over for a facemask + wine night
make breakfast egg cups
give homemade celery juice a shot
This week on the blog: Stuffed Bell Pepper recipe. Hopefully I can get my Yosemite post complete. Black on Black on Black #ootd.
I can’t remember the last time I said morning or had a blog post publish in the am! So, this is BIG! Ha!
It’s been a busy week. Hence the lack of blog posts. Crazy thankful for my Mom + Cory who have helped me uber Bay around from school. The pig barn. Riding lessons. GATE. I couldn’t have done it without them!
Weekend plans: a trip to Madewell to shop for jeans. You guys, I ordered the black Berkley wash, which I LOVE. Sized down, like I always do in Madewell. And they’re too big. Trust me, I haven’t lost weight either…lol. But, I do like my jeans real tight. Anyway, the size I need is on back order till FEBRUARY 23rd. Real life problems 🙂 Trying to convince Cory to take me to our fave pizza spot, Masullo too. I’m craving a day in the kitchen. Promised GG stuffed bell peppers. Thinking meal prepping egg cups. Spaghetti meat sauce. And I’ve been craving a roasted tomato soup.
I could go on and on, but let’s get to 5 things on my mind……
Shopping is my cardio. Target 🎯 shopping, that is. It’s been a little quiet over here. Just needed some off time…literally. But I did hit up Target once or twice.
Okay fine, three times in the last week 🤷🏼♀️
My motto: When all else fails, just got to Target. Buy a cute top. Get a new mug. It solves all the problems 😂
so let’s chat about all the new finds I scored at the one, the only, Target!!
Let’s start with cute tops, because you know I’m a sucker for a cute $20 top! I have to admit this was the ONE section that was a little disappointing. I’m gonna give Target a pass this time though. They are transitioning to Spring….and I cannot frickin wait. I vowed today to not buy another long sleeve top! Sooooo…Target best get that shit out STAT! Ha!
ps…All the underlined + bold words are “clickable” links. They will direct you to the actual item on Target. I’m saving you all the searching time 🙂
