Amen to that!  The last 6 weeks have been epic.  The numbers are not the only thing that matter peeps.  Although, I know it’s pretty rad watching them decrease over the weeks.  Besides the scale.  I believe my healthy-er lifestyle has greatly contributed to my mind + body + spirit.  Thanks to Kaia Fit Woodland, I’m stronger + healthier + happier than I’ve even been!  Physically + mentally + emotionally!  (trust me, ask my family + friends the can vouch).  Kaia helped my find my inner strength.  Sounds corny, I know!  My inner strength has always been there, I just lost sight of it.  I have since stretched + grown + expanded my comfort zone time and time again striving to improve.  And once again, the results are proof!

Ok, and now the numbers, since I bet half of you didn’t even read that first paragraph…lol!

I’m sure most of you have already read the results + seen the photos on the Kaia facebook/instagram pages.  I wanted to share a little more.  So bare with me…..

The first Kaia Fit Woodland 2017 BRIK session wrapped up last week.  It was one of the best, results wise.  Melika read off these numbers below at the Saturday Share the Love workout and my jaw dropped.

COMBINED…..

Over 250 lbs LOST

Over 300 inches LOST

86% of body fat LOST

GONE.  BYE-BYE.

You guys….that’s just this last Kaia Fit BRIK alone….we’re talking SIX weeks people.  6 weeks!  1 1/2 months!

January 2nd – February 11th!

Isn’t that crazy insane?

I call if proof!

I began my Kaia Fit journey in January 2016.  You can read more about that here!

And remember January’s blog post {four}?  It was the beginning of this BRIK session.  You can read about that here!

Kaia Fit Woodland BRIK came to an end last week.  So you know what that means – I will be sharing my results!  Congratulations Kaia girls…WE DID IT!  Another BRIK in the books.

Click here to read about my pre-BRIK measurements from August 26th, six weeks ago.

I worked out last Thursday morning.  As I was leaving I saw the scales lined up just waiting for us.  All 4 of them.  Oh shit.  It’s that time.  I planned on the 8am weigh-in.

I booked it home to shower, shave, pluck my eyebrows….I mean every little bit helps, right?  LOL!!!

“I was running!  That’s all I have to say about that!” in my best Forrest Gump voice, obiv!

Like I said yesterday, if this is any indication as to how this BRIK session is going to go down – we are screwed!  Day two and my body hurts.  I’m not complaining though, it’s that good hurt.  That hurt where my fat is screaming….haha.

Here’s the scoop –

Get In Gear:

Each station – Push-ups + Sit-ups + Pull-ups/Upright Row + Jump Rope

3 times, 60 seconds each.

AMRAP:  (as many reps as possible)

10 burpees + 10 HB Swings + 10 jump squats

Run:

Timed run.  Last!

FullSizeRender (2).jpg

We got that Friday Feelin’ around here.  I think we can all agree – it’s been a long week and everyone is equally ready for the weekend.  Whatever you do or have planned, ENJOY!!!

It’s Friday, so you know I’ve got 5 things on my mind……

ONE – Back in January my new years resolution was to get myself back.  Not just back in shape.  But, back to feeling good again.  Click here to read about how I got started with Kaia Fit.  I’m currently 14 lbs down from those pre-BRIK photos.  They scare me every time Kaia Woodland shares them on Facebook…lol.  I can’t say enough about Kaia.  It’s changed my life + body.  I can’t thank Melika enough for getting me back here after a brief break.

Tour de Kaia BRIK begins Monday morning at 5am.  I’ve got my meal plan set.  Measurements + weight recorded.  The next 6 week are going to be intense and I’m 100% ready!

Sooooo, in true xoxostacyb fashion – I’m going to once again share with all my readers the nitty-gritty.  I’m sharing my measurements + weight with anyone in the world that wants to see.  Scary AF!  Embarrassing AF!  I’ve found that nothing holds you more accountable than sharing the truth!  Too bad we couldn’t have weighed-in before the Yolo County Fair.  Ha!

After seeing the pictures I made the conscious decision to crop my face.  I almost died.  That’s what I look like at 5am?  Haha…my poor Kaia sisters see me like this everyday and I had no idea.  My pre coffee + pre shower look is all bad. #iwokeuplikethis #sorry

{weekend notes}

Happy Tuesday peeps.  I’m getting used to this Tuesday instead of Monday gig.  Sounds better than Happy Monday anyway, right?  Cheers to the week being 60% done!!

Friday nights that start like this are always my favorite.

Had to gear up for David Nail at the Grad.  Haha.  I literally have NOT been to the Grad since I was about 18 I’m guessing?  Well, it hasn’t changed much.  Except this time we were VIP.

Kaia Fit Risky Business, that is.  I’m 5 workouts into this CORE session and I’m absolutely LOVING it!  I swear it’s all my mindset.  My mind and my body are on the same page for the first time in a long time.  It’s pretty amazing what you can get done when your head is in the game too.   The workouts have been hard AF.  My shirt drenched.  My muscles are so sore they are screaming at me all before 6am.

Wondering what this CORE session is all about?  Here ya go……

This IS Risky Business, Ladies! Which means it’s time to check in with where you are in life and prepare to make some changes. Maybe it isn’t time for a major overhaul right now, but there’s no doubt there are a few things you’d like alter, tidy up or polish a bit. So why not take the LEAP OF A LIFETIME when you know you have a team of women behind you who will celebrate your victories and have your back when you need a little extra support. Begin by promising yourself one thing. As you get started on your list of “leaps”, focus only on positive outcomes. This is a time to forget about roadblocks and possible failures (and there will be failures, FOR SURE) and keep your eye on your successes, the end game and the prize. Remembering too, there is no final destination here, only the journey and every step of the way should be embraced and enjoyed!

My list of risk’s I’m taking are just a little to personal to share right now.  Maybe as I conquer them I will feel a little more inclined to share?  We shall see!

Happy Friday, Happy 1st day of July and Happy long weekend.  It’s music to my ears!  Lake Tahoe is calling my name – slow mornings, bailey’s in my coffee, Pope Beach, Wheel of Fortune, the cabin, Camp Richardson, fireworks on the beach, tan lines, rum runners, sunshine and my family.  I’ve come to realize that the 4th of July is by far my favorite Holiday.  Some of my best memories were made while wearing flip-flops ♥

ONE –  Meet Link, our backyard rabbit.  Former Spring Show project turned forever pet.  We stopped caging him once Bailey decided she wanted to raise a market animal.  He’s the best.  Like, I think he’s part human.  For reals though.  He just gets me!  As soon as I open the bedroom slider each morning….he comes running to greet me.  He LOVES to have the spot between his ears scratched.  He likes to be held like a newborn too.  Well, Sunday he went missing.  MIA.  GONE.  I realized that the gate to keep him in the backyard had been knocked down.  And there is a hole in the gate that he clearly was able to shimmy out of.  I was devastated.  I didn’t have the heart to tell Bailey.  She looked everywhere for him Sunday night then decided it was soooo hot, that he must be in a really good hiding spot.  Monday morning as I was taking the trash out….I hear a scratch.  I open the gate, and there he is.  Appearing as though he had a rough night…lol.  Like me after too many tequila shots!  I scooped him up and almost cried.  Guys, I was freaking out.  About to make Missing signs and post them all over my hood.  We gave him strawberry tops (his fav) and made a pact that he is never to run away again.  So happy this dude found his way home.

TWO – Mezger Zinnia Patch is open.  YAY!  We look forward to this every year.  If you’re not familiar with it….take the short drive.  Two miles north of Yolo on HWY 99W.  You can’t miss it.  Rows upon rows of these colorful blooms.  The only request: for every bouquet picked for yourself, pick one for someone who is unable to pick their own.  Deal!!!  We surprised GG with a mason jar of Zinnias yesterday morning.  She had the biggest smile on her face.   You can’t tell here because she told me she’s practicing her “mouth closed smile”  lol.  God, I love her!!

THREE – Seka Hills Fireworks were absolutely amazing last night.  I was blown away.  The drinks (obvi my fav part), food, activities, music did not disappoint.  The kid stations with festive beads for jewelry making, olive branch crowns, coloring and more.  We grabbed a spot in the shade and set up our camp.  They kids played.  We mingled.  It was perfect.  If you follow me on snap, they you saw the awesome firework show.  Just another reason to LOVE Seka Hills 🙂
