Crank Your Plank Challenge aka CYPC // I’m sure you’ve heard me talk about it. If not, you can read more about it here + here + here. Our week one Kaia Amplify BRIK challenge was CYPC. The goal was to get to a 6 minute plank hold. All while keeping form.
Welllllll……I fucking did it!! Yeahhhh. Tuesday morning we warmed up and Coach Mallory announced it was time for CYPC. I promised myself that I WOULD NOT give up. Really thinking, bitch you better beat 4:40 (from week #5). Then Mallory called “TIME!” Not me, she did. I almost died, don’t get me wrong. But I did it. I feel like I graduated the CYPC…haha. I’m so beyond proud of myself. This is HUGE.
Check out my progress:
- Week #1 – 1:40
- Week #2 – 2:57
- Week #3 – 3:17
- Week #4 – 4:02
- Week #5 – 4:40
- Week #6 – 6:00
At week #5, I seriously thought there was NO frickin way on earth I could get to 6 minutes. It was all in my mind and I knew it.
Do you know how damn long 6 minutes really is?
Here’s a list of things that take less than 6 minutes to do:
- shower
- paint my nails
- blow dry my hair
- fill my car gas tank
- empty the dishwasher
- fold a load of laundry
- listen to 2 George Strait songs
I even timed myself making my morning smoothie. I can do it, start to finish in 3 minutes. That’s 1/2 of the CYPC.
Yes, I watched the clock while I did all of these things today…lol. Strange, yes. But I’m just in awe. Haha. For reals.
OK, OK, enough. You get it, I know.
Remember when I wrote here that I would do some kind of celebrating? Well, I did!!
I broke down and bought my first pair of Lululemon pants. Life changing. You get what you pay for. They are by far the best pair of pants I’ve ever worked-out in. The high waist delivers! These pants are so smooth with the perfect amount of compression. Honestly, I could sleep in these bad boys. Wish I wouldn’t have waited this long. I’m no longer a Lululemon virgin 🙂

Happy Hump Day! Can you believe the week is half over already?
