The Tricep Push Up kills me every time.  Clearly something I need to spend some time working on at home.

Below are my Week #1 + Week #2 Score Sheet results.  Week #1 I’m always a little unsure of what’s going on. Week #2 I was able to make it trough 2 more stop sign runs.  I was pumped.

{up + out core}

Why did I think KAIA CORE sessions were easier than BRIK?  Ummm, no.  Up + Out CORE has been kicking my ass big time.  Today, 1/2 way through week 3 and my legs have probably never been this sore.

I read in the Week #1 newsletter:

Coming off Brik can be a slippery slope if you are not mindful!

True that.  I have not been mindful.  I’m sure you’ve noticed that one of my favorite words, KAIA, hasn’t been used in a while?  I’ve been on vacation mode and I’m really not sure why.  I’m actually a little pissed off at myself.  Mindful meal prep and eating have been a slippery slope at this house.  And I can feel the repercussions.  CORE is not a vacay, so I better not act like it.  Well, I gave myself a wake-up call this week.  And I’m happy to say – I’m back bitches!

I’ve come to love a good challenge.  Something to keep me focused.  This CORE session we are working on the BIB Challenge.  Bi’s in Bloom.  Check it out:

The timer is set for 10 minutes and we are challenged to finish this BIB workout within that time or call “time” when completed.  Eight reps of each set twice.  Doesn’t sound that bad, right?  WRONG.  It’s a hell of a lot harder than it looks.  Sometimes I look up at the board and get completely lost or cant remember what I’m supposed to do.

{before + after}

Last Friday was a pretty amazing treat.  Kaia Fit Woodland invited me to hang out with a group of ladies that were the BRIK support group for a day of pampering.  Melika went all out!!  In true Melika fashion – an amazing healthy snack spread was ready for us right as we walked in the door.  We chatted and were introduced to each other.  Then it was off to spray tan + hair + makeup.  I’m telling you, she went above and beyond to spoil us.

Once we were all dolled up, we had a full on photo shoot.  I really can’t remember the last time I had a photographer take just my picture.  Maybe senior pics, back in 2000?  I was a little uncomfortable to be honest.  Karl, our photographer, was great.  He helped loosen us up and get some great shots.  Big shout out to Val + Karl for the great photos to showcase our BRIK success.  When I got my images all I could think was, wow – they must have photoshopped…lol.

You can read more about my before weight/measurements at {weekend notes}.  Then a couple days later I looked at my stats and 1.13% of the Woodland, CA population read about my measurements…CRAZY.  You can read more about it at {friday 5}.  My mid point post got some of the highest views…check it out here {{dear fat,}.  Well, last Saturday morning I did my final measurements + weigh-in.

Rise & shine pretty girls – IT’S FRIDAY!!

ONE – Valentine S’more Mix.  Don’t make it.  It’s dangerous.  But, your kids will love you.  A yummy snack mix without the messy s’more aftermath.  This snack mix is the traditional flavors of graham cracker + chocolate + marshmallow with a twist.

  • Vanilla cupcake Goldfish Crackers
  • Valentine’s M&M’s
  • Mini Marshmallows

When I saw the cupcake flavored fishy crackers, my wheels started turning.  I’m not a fishy cracker girl, but holy cow – these cupcake fishy’s are legit.  Good luck saving some for your kiddos 🙂

TWO – Ash Wednesday was this week.  Bailey stated attending Faith Formation classes a few years back.  She’s making her way through the seven sacraments.  Since beginning Faith Formation, we’ve made Ash Wednesday a tradition.  This year we asked each other what we thought the other should give up for lent.  I thought Bailey should give up her beloved flavored water.  Not very happy with my answer, she then through back at me, “well then, I think you should give up your favorite drink.”  My heart stopped.

{chicken + asparagus stir-fry}

This is an easy 15 minute healthy dinner.  Bailey loves it so that’s a plus too.

So simple, but such great flavors.  Garlic + scallions + soy sauce + honey.  Plus, it’s healthy and comes together in a snap.  Kaia friendly too!! Chicken + Asparagus are items that you will always find in my fridge and freezer.  They are some of our staples.

{will you be my valentine?}

IMG_0184

Let’s be honest, do kids even pick out their classroom Valentines anymore?  I know Bailey doesn’t….lol.  I search Pinterest for a couple cute options and see what I can find at Target.  She’s ALWAYS on board with whatever I find.  This year I totally lucked out.  I headed to Target to grab a couple dinner ingredients and whala – my eye caught these cute eraser rings.  I grabbed two bags and called it good.  Hit Pinterest the next day with key word Valentine eraser rings and this adorable free printable popped up.

It was meant to be.

Tennies + Denim + Statement Necklace //

When I write about clothes, it makes me so happy.  Although, when I do write posts like this, they tend to get the least views.  Recipes + Weekend Notes always get the most traffic over here on xoxostacyb.  Truth is – I love writing about it all.  So if it’s not yo thang, come back tomorrow 🙂  I want to keep a good balance of recipes + clothes + kaia + kiddo stuff + pretty things, etc.

OK, lets get back to clothing……

So much inspiration here + here.  What do you think?   Are you all about it?  Or Um, no thanks?  I fell in love.

This outfit is pretty much everything I swore I’d never rock.  A few months ago, had you offered to pay me to wear jeans + nikes….I would have laughed and said, “no thanks.”  Now it’s all over the place.  Instagram, Pinterest, everywhere I look.  I’ve never since last week, ever, worn tennis shoes to work.  Even my co-workers think it’s weird..lol.
