Happy Monday friends.  I’m ready to tackle today head on.  My body is in need of a good detox and that’s exactly what it’s going to get.  Kaia girls – are you all prepped and ready?  I felt weird not doing any meal prep on Sunday.  That’s my day to get everything planned out and ready for the busy week.  I just have to drive to Oasis at 7:30am and voilà, breakfast + lunch + dinner + snacks are served.  Super looking forward to Peel’d.

Guess what we had for dinner Friday night?  Pizza, duh!!  I ordered a regular pepperoni + skinny garden.  I found a way to eat my favorite, but in a lighter way.  Skinny crust + olive oil (no sauce) + garden delight (all veggies) + No cheese (except feta).  It was delish.  Papa Murphy’s killed it.  Try it out next time your looking for a lighter pizza that tastes bomb.  Then Bailey + Ruby did their very own Kid Baking Challenge.  It was so damn cute.

I set out all the ingredients they need for their boxed cookies + brownies.

Then I did a count down and they ran to the table to gather what they needed.

They look so professional!!

The best part – Cory + I got to be the taste testers 🙂

They’ve requested that next time they do a full meal.  It’s fun to see how into cooking + baking they are.  I’d say its a good hobby.

Saturday morning I made it to Kaia Power Hour.  It was a sweet workout.  About 50 stations.  Each person at their own.  1 minute then we switched to the next station.  It went by soooo quick.  Before I knew it an hour had passed.  You know what they say, “the best workout is the one you’ve finished.”  I’m happy I did it.  Especially considering all the wine I planned to consume.

Then we headed to San Francisco.  All 7 of us.  We try to plan a fun girls trip once a year, sometimes twice, if we’re lucky.  This one didn’t disappoint.  It was a blast.  You put all of us together and laughter starts immediately.  And didn’t stop till Sunday morning.

No, we’re not moving in.  Just staying one night…lol.  And I said I packed light.

And then Nicole arrived, with champs in had.  She’s knows the key to our hearts.

HAPPY, HAPPY FRIDAY!!!  Whoop Whoop!  It’s finally here.  You know the drill, it’s Friday 5:

ONE – I got pizza pj’s for my birthday.  Check out those melty cheesy pizza slices…it’s heaven.   God, I miss pizza so much.  Since I wont be indulging anytime soon, I guess the next best thing is to wear it, right?  Till then, I shall rock my pizza jams and be happy.  Thank you Sarah P for making my night time wardrobe extra cheesy 🙂 IMG_3144.JPG

TWO – Clean Brownies.  Yes, that’s what I just said.  They are fucking amazing too.  My girlfriend, Toni made them for me last Saturday for my birthday dessert.  I took the leftovers home.  And I ate them ALL.  #bombdotcom

monday // normally one of my favorite days of the week, but not today.  The aches and pains are unreal.  Backpacking is no joke.  I have a new-found respect for backpackers – they are bad-ass hardcore hikers.  You add 40 lbs to your back and it’s a game changer.  Advil and bottled water will be my best friend for the next couple days.

FRIDAY

source

Longest week evvveerrrr, right?  I do it to myself, but we were on the GO.  To top it off – I didn’t sleep well at night (this is really unusual for me).  Just the word “Friday” makes me smile today. And I’m looking forward to enjoying a relaxing night at home with wine, I mean, my family 🙂  Cheers to you and a beautiful weekend!!

Here’s 5 things on my mind today:

ONE –  Back in June, a group of my girlfriends and I booked a guided overnight backpacking trip.  It’s FINALLY here.  We leave town early Saturday morning to meet our guides and the 40 lb backpacks we will be lugging around for the weekend.  Our adventure will take us all over the Pt. Reyes headlands and guide us through varying terrain along the coastal bluffs, mountains, lakes and ending at a stunning beach with a waterfall plummeting 40ft into the ocean.  The photos I’ve seen are incredible.  Experiencing the great outdoors with some of my favorite girlfriends will be such a treat.

I have followed A House In the Hills blog for sometime, so when she posted her Alamere Falls hike – I died when I found out that is the same hike we would be doing.  Check out her post here and the gorgeous photos she took.

Our guide sent us a gear list and it specifically noted “beverages of choice” thank god!  My girlfriends and I have been passing messages all week of the booze and snacks we plan to pack:)  I’m pumped, guys!!  In typical Stacy fashion, I threw together goody bags for each of the girls.  Everything I would think to be necessities for the occasion.  Including a secret item that should keep us all safe.  Since I convinced them all to do this with me, I need to deliver them all home safe.  I cant wait to share more Monday morning in {weekend notes}

Good Morning to you!  I hope everyone of you had a nice relaxing weekend doing something you love.  We enjoyed Big Sur, Carmel + Monterey to the fullest.  Keep reading for a picture overload and highlights to our little weekend away.

“Big Sur” is derived from the Spanish language “el sur grande.”  Meaning “the big south.” Big Sur’s Cone Peak is the highest coastal mountain in the contiguous 48 states.  That’s impressive.  I didn’t realize how spread out Big Sur is either.  Luckily I printed out some directions before we left.  When they say “off the grid” it’s no joke.  I had NO service once we headed out of Carmel.  I mean absolutely nothing.  From Bixby Bridge to Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park is about an hour drive.  So planning out your stops is imperative.

We hit the road early Saturday morning pumped for a road-trip just the two of us.  Here’s a few of the many highlights.

Hwy 1 has got to be one of the most gorgeous drives.  Every turnout I wanted to stop and snap another picture.  We weren’t the only ones either.  Every stop, there must have been 20 other peeps with the same idea.  I downloaded 280 pictures from this weekend – yikes.  And that doesn’t include Iphone pics.

Garrapata State Beach was our first stop.  Coastal hiking trails that lead to a two miles beach front.  The first stop is always the best, especially after a 3 hour drive.
