FRI-YAY! Who’s ready for the weekend?!?! MEEEE!!!
It’s Friday and you know the drill, 5 things on my mind –
ONE – We are going to Big Sur this weekend. There’s nothing like escaping town for a road trip to make you feel refreshed and grateful. To top it off, check out what Weather Channel is predicting. FALL weather peeps!!

My trusty weekender bag is already packed! I was even able to throw in some fall clothes that I’ve been dying to wear and that makes me really, really happy 🙂 Take a peek below…burgundy cords, long sleeves, leopard flats, madewell denim and my north face…these are a few of my favorite things (in my best Julie Andrews voice).
My camera is charged. Champagne is in the fridge. Can you tell I’m a little excited? We have some spots to check out, but really no itinerary (which is so not like me). If you missed last weeks {friday 5} post you can read more about Big Sur here. Some of my favorite bloggers that I follow have been vacationing in Big Sur lately. Click on these links for a glimpse at what we have in store for us. Gal Meet Glam, The Fresh Exchange, Long Distance Loving to name a few. What I’m looking forward to the most….I get Cory all to myself for 2 days 🙂

TWO – Handmade by Amazon. Anyone heard of this yet? I randomly found it while searching Etsy this week. Handmade by Amazon showcases one-of-a-kind products from artisans worldwide. I’m a loyal Etsy.com shopper, but it’s always nice to have options. Look at these fun handmade in California finds here. Jewelry, kitchen goods, decor…etc. I plan to use them to purchase some paper products and holiday cheer for Letter’s to Santa Night. I’ll keep you posted on how I like it.
THREE – Pumpkin Succulent DIY. I mean, come on – pumpkins + succulents all in one.
I purchased the supplies to try this out:
+ pumpkins
+ spray adhesive
+ glue gun/sticks
+ moss
+ succulents
The step-by-step tutorial doesn’t look to difficult. Trim moss and adhere to pumpkin top. Hot glue ends of succulents and gently weave them into the moss. That’s it. Once fall is over you can slice the top of the pumpkin off and plant it in a pot with soil to enjoy forever. What a great idea.
This would be a perfect hostess gift or centerpiece. I will be hosting our monthly Hand + Foot card game next week and plan to use it as our centerpiece. That is, if I can pull this off. Wish me luck!
FOUR – Guinevere’s Café & Bistro recently opened here in town. Please tell me you follow the Cafe on Facebook? If not, stop what you are doing right now and click here. This husband + wife duo, Marco + Jennifer are basically Facebook famous!! They post the most hilarious random videos daily. The Meatball Cowboy is amazing:) I stopped in to grab a coffee one morning last week and they were just as peppy as you would expect and ready to make me an americano at 6am. It was delicious. I am also officially signed up to take one of their stromboli making classes next month….and I promised Marco that we would make a video the day of. Haha, but seriously – I agreed to that. What was I thinking? Anyway, stop in and check out the cute little cafe next time you are on their side of town.

FIVE – Luke Bryan + Dustin Lynch + Randy Houser put on a bad ass show last night. The best part, enjoying the show with my two mains, Mom + Kissey (my sister). We try to score tickets to all the country music shows in our area. It’s always a good time with these two. Country music and beer just go hand in hand, so this picture seemed fitting. And I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get a photo of my mom with her tall can.

I can’t forget the boots…you gotta get a boot pic. I’m still just as in love with my Old Gringo Sora boots as the day I finally decided to make the investment. I believe that every girl should have a good pair of cowboy boots in their closet.
You get what you pay for with Old Gringo boots….the feel and craftsmanship of this boot is unreal. The embroidery couldn’t be more beautiful, set off by vintage black leather. Sometimes I wear them around the house – it’s true love 🙂

….and that’s a wrap.
Cheers to the weekend! Thanks for reading xoxostacyb this week. I hope you all have a bottle of wine waiting for when you walk in the door tonight….and pizza too!!
See you Monday morning, bright and early for {weekend notes}
xoxo stacyb
