It’s Monday and the party’s over pendejo’s.  Haha.  The party is definitely over.  Got home late last night from a whirl wind 30 hour Vegas trip with my besties.  I’m sofa king tired!!

The saying what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas is 100% true.  Until you open up your snapchat and have to delete almost every video from the night before…lol.  You’re welcome for the entertainment!!

We surprised my Mom with a suite at the Venetian in Vegas.  We told her we were staying at some little dive.  She was blown away when we walked in the doors.

FullSizeRender (13).jpg

I really owe it all to my sister.  She’s the one that actually pulled it off.  Well done Kissey, Well done.  With out a doubt the most beautiful suite I’ve ever stayed in.  There were 3 TV’s and we joked that we never turned one on.  The bathroom was just about the size of my house.

It’s FRIDAY Bitches!  It’s just so fitting.  That’s what I’ll look like today at 5pm!  Longest short week every, right?  Well the weekend is here and I’m super pumped.  But first, I got 5 things on my mind….

ONE – 337 days ago we bought tickets to see King George in Vegas!  Strait to Vegas!!  Well my friends, the time has come.  I’m unable to put in words how excited I am.   Pulled out my CD collection.  Yes, I still buy CD’s…lol.  I like to listen to my favorites on repeat over and over again.  Dusted off the cowboy boots and pulled out the daisy dukes.  So looking forward to my boyfriend serenading me with all his love songs in person ♥

I also Can’t wait to drink and eat my way through Vegas.  Anyone have dinner recommendations?  There are entirely too many amazing restaurants to choose from. Eggslut and Serendipity are already on my must list.

You may want to un-friend/un-follow me now….as I will be over posting the shit outa this epic weekend.  You’ve been warned 🙂

Click here and you can listen to George’s 50 #1’s though out the day!  You’re welcome 🙂

Happy Tuesday!  Although I love a long weekend, short work weeks are awfully lonnngggg.  Not to mention extra busy.  But, it’s all good.  After 3-day weekend away with my family I’m feeling relaxed and recharged and ready to kick this weeks ass.  And week #2 of Kaia, the dreaded detox week.  Pray for me friends.

Our family hit I-5 North for Labor Day Weekend.  My parents rented a house in Dunsmuir, CA.  I haven’t been since I was a kid and always hear people rave about the hikes and waterfalls.  My Dad has spent the last 30 years fishing with his buddies here, so it was nostalgic for him.  He showed us all his favorite spots and fishing holes.  And we of course had to hit a couple of my bucket list stops while we were at it.

fullsizerender-30

Aqua Golf Driving Range //  This place is located right off the freeway in Redding.  I read about it in one of the AAA Via magazines a while back and stuck it on the ol bucket list.  Since we NEVER make it up this way, I made sure I got the Fam Bam on board to make the stop.  The kids loved it.  I’m not gonna lie – I totally did too.  Where else can you hit balls into the Sacramento River and it’s totally okay?  Best part…if you hit a duck or beaver, you get a FREE bucket of balls…LMFAO!  Nothing like watching everyone on the driving range aiming for the poor ducks!!  Oh yeah, and they serve beer.

$12 for a large bucket of balls and $1 club rental.  It’s worth the stop!

IMG_7049.JPG

Bailey + Joe smashing balls.

And then we have Benny….god I love him!!!

Even I hit a few balls.  Only a few though, I didn’t want to set my beer down for too long 🙂

Sundial Bridge // I first heard of this bridge on one of those Pinterest links “20 things for kids to see in Northern California.”  So you better believe I slapped that on the bucket list too.  It’s breathtaking.  This 12-year-old bridge made up of over 200 tons of glass is indeed an actual working sundial…check it out:

As the name suggests, the Sundial Bridge is, in fact, a working sundial and is one of the largest in the world. The sundial shadow traces such a large arc that it can record only four hours a day, from 11am – 3pm. It is not accurate in winter because the shadow is too far into the arboretum to be seen. The shadow, when visible, moves about one foot per minute, so you can readily see it move.

First day of BRIK and guess what?  I turned my 4:25 am alarm off…instead of snooze.  I hit off.  I woke up at 5:00 am on the dot.  Jumped up and did the “oh shit” thought about laying back down and saying f it.  But, I didn’t.  Remember – NEVER miss a Monday.  Even if you’re 10 minutes late.  I’m so happy I made it, even though holy shit it was hardcore.  If today was any indication of how the rest of BRIK is going to be….I’m scared.  Very scared.  The stations were beyond intense.  Good luck today Kaia girls.

Hope everyone had a kick ass weekend!

FRIDAY //

Thank you Nikki + Kris for the bomb tacos and Chard.  #chardsohard Someone told me this last week and it just screams Nikki and her love of chardonnay 🙂

IMG_6566.JPG

I can’t for the life of me remember what was so damn funny….but, clearly it was good!

IMG_6565.JPG

I met up with one of my best high school girlfriends for drinks + a catch up session.  We were so busy chatting that I didn’t get a single picture.  Can you believe it?  Me either.

SATURDAY //

The mountains were calling our name.  Our family cabin just so happen to be vacant.  We loaded up bright and early and hit the road.   Ohhhhh Tahoe.  I love your fresh mountain air, sandy beaches + laid back living.  So happy we were able to take in your views one last time this summer.

Does it get any better than this?  I think NOT!

I’m just happy it’s FRIDAY!  Have a fab weekend and do something you love.  I’m taking off to spend the weekend with a besties.  It’s good for the soul ♥

ONE – Dear Instagram,

What the Fuck were you thinking.  Your “new look” SUCKS.  The retro-looking camera icon was one of the most recognizable tech logos out there.  It’s now been replaced with a swirl of sunset colors and an outline of a camera?   As if the camera was murdered at sundown and chalk was drawn around its body.  Like it’s dead!!  Can you tell that I am NOT a fan?   It takes me 2 damn minutes to find that stupid new app icon on my screen.  The update equally sucks.  And you didn’t notify us first or ask our opinion?  If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Yours Truly,

A pissed off B

TWO – This dress is being delivered next week and I’m tracking it all the way.  Can’t wait.  I’ll let you know when it FINALLY arrives 🙂

Sorry I’ve been MIA this week.  Last week was a whirlwind of fun.  A week off of work.  And basically a week off of regular life.  So, as you can imagine – we are in maj catch up mode this week.  Work + life + activities….pretty much everything.  Ever need a vacation from your vacation?  I should have taken a photo of our fridge.  It’s empty.  Like I’ve never had a fridge so empty in my adult life.

Enough of that.  Let’s recap Seattle, WA.  Stover’s Wedding.  Sightseeing with my family and great friends.  Believe it or not, I hardly took any pictures.  WTF was I thinking?  I was so busy enjoying all the time with friends and family that I rarely took my phone out.  So these photos in this post are ALL I have.  Every single one of them.  Enjoyyyy…..

First off, go to Megan Wahlquist Photography and “like” her page.  You have to take a peek at all the gorgeous wedding photos from Stover’s photographer.  She did such an amazing job capturing the marriage + love of Sarah and JD.  I can’t wait to see all the photos.

Did you check out the photo above of the flower girl + ring bearer with the bride + groom.  I can’t handle it.  They killed it!!

Let’s chat about the weather.  The freakish beautiful weather.  I think all of us Cali peeps brought the sunshine with us.  It was unbelievable.

FullSizeRender.jpg

I arrived in Seattle on Wednesday.  So sleepy after our Sutter’s Fort trip.  Security took FOREVER…who knew you can travel with 2 dogs and 2 cats?  I saw it, you can.  For reals though.

IMG_2114.JPG

But luckily I found my hommie at the airport bar 🙂  A glass of wine to ease my flying nerves.  Thanks Nerdie!!!

IMG_2118

My Thursday morning view.  This is from the Lake House Stover’s family rented for the week.  This picture really doesn’t do it any justice.  The place was ah-mazing.  Views from every room.

IMG_2122.JPG

Thursday morning we set off to run errands.  The Bride + her dress 🙂  Of course we stopped for a selfie along the way.  You guys, the flowers + plants in Seattle are out of this world beautiful.  Check out these blooming trees lining the streets.  I mean, come on.  There are just asking for a selfie, right?

And I cant forget the double-decker Target.  A cart escalator.  What the?  I’m from small town Woodland so this rocked my world.  LOL.  The cart hooks on and goes up or down the escalator next to you.  So damn cool.  I think Woodland needs one of these. ASAP!

IMG_2132.JPG

Some of our besties flew in for the wedding.  So drinks were a MUST.  Love you girls!!!

F is for Friday.   F is for Fancy.   F is for Family.  F is for Friends.  F is for Fabulous.  F is for F*%#.  F is for so many of my favorite things/words.  This image just gets me!  Today is Friday minus the 5.

I landed in beautiful Seattle Wednesday afternoon.  Yep, right after I got home from the 4th grade overnight trip.  One of my besties, Stover, is getting married tomorrow.

{weekend notes}

Guess who’s back in the mother f’n house.  With a fat post for your mother f’n……you know the rest.

So I took a week off.  It was weird.  I only clicked on my blog 1 time in that whole week.  Just to make sure it was still there…lol.  It was much needed.  Although I absolutely LOVE writing this blog, it is very time consuming.  I felt as though there were too many things that I was not giving my 100% too that are far more important.

Let’s cut to the chase……

How was your weekend?  Do anything fun?  Relax?  Enjoy the gorgeous weather Saturday?  Wasn’t it phenomenal?

Friday night the Plainfield PTA threw yet another successful Silent Auction Dinner.

IMG_1427.JPG

I didn’t take ANY pictures the whole night.  This one here was sent to me….all these girls here put in a lot of time to make this event happen.  Contacting local vendors for wine + beer donations.  Local restaurants + stores for auction donations.  Some don’t realize that all those long tables FULL of baskets stuffed with goodies are donations.  Everything is donated.  It’s pretty amazing to see what our little community can do.  We raised close to $18,000.  BIG thank you to all the Plainfield families that came and showed their support.

Saturday morning we loaded up bright and early for our annual Stinson Beach trip.   Overnight bags + bikes in tow.

IMG_1253.JPG

IMG_1255.JPG

The windy drive on HWY 1 is well worth it. This is what we saw out our window.

Stinson Beach is a three mile stretch of beautiful, flat beach with a nice backdrop of coast range.  This charming little beach town is located in Marin County near Muir Woods.   The seaside town has great restaurants + bars + coffee shops all within 1 block.  Once you park your car, there is no need to drive again.

IMG_1263.JPG

We chose the Sandpiper Inn to lay our heads.  This gem is so cozy and welcoming.  Best part – it’s about a 2 minute walk to the sandy Stinson beach.  We also stayed here last year, but in a much smaller room.  This time, we chose their Cottage.  The largest room they offer.  A 2 bedroom/1 bath.  Full kitchen.  Gas fireplace.  Sleeps 8 peeps.

IMG_1267.JPG

I love the beachy decor throughout the cottage.  The Dutch front door was the kids favorite.

Hello + Happy Friday from sunny San Diego.  Touched down last night and ready to shake a tail feather.  Hurry up and get here maestra Stover!!

ONE – When your girlfriend knows your day is going to suck balls and sends you the most gorgeous flower arrangement you’ve ever laid eyes on.  Yep, that happened.  I love you FOREVER Nicole.  Thanks for making me smile:)  I’d never heard of Farmgirl Flowers  till now.
