HAPPY, HAPPY FRIDAY!!!  Whoop Whoop!  It’s finally here.  You know the drill, it’s Friday 5:

ONE – I got pizza pj’s for my birthday.  Check out those melty cheesy pizza slices…it’s heaven.   God, I miss pizza so much.  Since I wont be indulging anytime soon, I guess the next best thing is to wear it, right?  Till then, I shall rock my pizza jams and be happy.  Thank you Sarah P for making my night time wardrobe extra cheesy 🙂 IMG_3144.JPG

TWO – Clean Brownies.  Yes, that’s what I just said.  They are fucking amazing too.  My girlfriend, Toni made them for me last Saturday for my birthday dessert.  I took the leftovers home.  And I ate them ALL.  #bombdotcom

Yes, that’s a big ass drinking glass with wine.  It was my birthday 🙂

Pumpkin Brownies

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1/3 cup Coconut Flour
  • 1/3 cup Cocoa Powder
  • 1/3 cup Pure Pumpkin Puree
  • 1/4 cup Coconut Oil
  • 2 tsp Pure Vanilla
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup Pure Maple Syrup

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Combine coconut flour + cocoa powder.  Whip in pumpkin + coconut oil + eggs + maple syrup + vanilla extract.  Blend well.  Pour batter into a greased 9 x 9 pan.  Bake 30 minutes, until toothpick comes out clean.

THREE – Apparently I thought week #2 was hell week.  I guess the whole detox week seemed like it.  Hell week would be a good name for it…lol.  Just kidding, it wasn’t that bad.  Annnndddd, guess what?  This girl hopped on the scale last night.  I’m down 7 lbs.  Insert happy dance!!  That’s 8 workouts and two weeks of clean eating.  About 80% clean eating.  I’m not banking on shedding lbs at this rate all BRIK, but let me tell you – I was a happy bitch when I saw those numbers.  Thank you Kaia Fit Woodland for getting my groove back.

ps…Hell week is week #4.  I’m scared.

FOUR – TAHOE // We are headed to our family cabin in snowy South Lake Tahoe today.  The cabin has a piece of my heart.  My late grandfather built it.  As soon as I pull in the drive way, I get a big ol smile.  We have endless memories of times spent here.  Mainly in the summer months.  Have I mentioned that I am not a snow person?  I like it for about 5 minutes, then I get cold and want to go back inside.  I’m still super looking forward to a weekend away with some of my favorite peeps anyway.  Now, how in the hell do I stay on track with my healthier lifestyle?  That is the question….

FIVE – Kate Spade introduced their collaboration with beyond yoga.  You can check it out here.  Picture their classic black + white stripe with a touch of bows and just the right amount of red.  From Yoga to post-yoga adventures.  Sporty meets sweet.  It’s classy girls!!  Not sure I will be splurging on any of their activewear pieces, but I sure love seeing some of my favorite brands providing trendy gym clothes.

elastic-free waistbands are super-comfortable and muffin top-proof (promise!)

  1. Our late grandfathers probably knew each other. My grandpa had also built their home in South Shore along with 2 motels. One motel has since been torn down but the other, formerly Evans Motel, is was the Accomodation Station, now called Lake Tahoe Lodging Company is still there. We also have 5 streets my grandma got to name…Stockton, Lodi, Virginia, Palmira and Barbara. Sadly our family sold off everything :-(… What the @#$% were they thinking? 🙂
