Happy ~~Monday~~, I mean Tuesday. Once again – I’m late. Oops…hence the Note to Self above. I’m not going to be hard on myself. Shit happens. Life happens. I’m a busy bitch. Annnddd, If you know me, then you know I’m always late. So there ya go. And HAPPY TUESDAY sounds better than Monday anyway!!!

My weekend was super chill. Just how I wanted it. Friday night we went to Crawdad’s on the river for dinner + drinks. When is the last time you’ve been there? Probably 2002? Yeah, me too. You’ve gotta go check it out. Much better than before. Their menu is legit. I tried my first mud bug, aka crawdad. I liked it. I mean, I haven’t met many foods that I don’t like so it was expected 🙂

I ordered the salmon dish

Grilled Salmon served with crispy potato hash, chorizo, fresh corn salsa, topped with crème

Yumm. Everyone (there were 6 of us) loved their meal. Now that’s a big deal. Typically someone in the group doesn’t end up liking what they ordered. The moscow mules were equally delicious, I might add.

Thank you Chad + Jamie for inviting us out for a fun night.

Happy Friday friends. Anyone else as ready as I am for the weekend? I have NOTHING planned for the entire weekend. Well, except a date with my backyard lounge + the sun. Did you catch the weekend weather? 85 – 88 degrees…thank you baby jesus. Other than working on my tan, I’m super looking forward to meal prep. Something I haven’t been able to do for the last few weeks. I miss it. Weird, huh?

Friday 5 is what we do…..

ONE // I’m currently IN LOVE with tassels. It’s becoming a problem. This week alone I ordered three. THREE. 3. T -H-R-E-E Items with tassels. And I can’t fucking wait for them to arrive on my doorstep next week 🙂 Are you a tassel freak too?

TWO // Dallas Housewives. “Everything is bigger in Texas!” Especially the DRAMA. Grab your Jesus Juice and take a seat, these bitches are already in-your-face cat fighting. Although they follow every sentence with “bless your heart,” they really want to choke each other out. I try not to judge a book by its cover, but how can you not judge Bravo Housewives by their taglines? Dallas does NOT disappoint…..

It’s FRI-NALLY Friday! What a brutal week that was. So ready for the weekend. A pretty chill weekend, I might add. Looking forward to all our plans. Especially my plans with a glass of wine + backyard lounge + the sun.

Since it’s Friday, I’m sharing 5 things on my mind…and some links I loved over the week.

ONE – April Fools // I’m happy to report that Bailey fell for the SAME trick, yet again this year. It’s only about the 5th year in a row that I’ve pulled of the exact same April Fools prank. Frozen cereal + chocolate milk. She grabbed the spoon and gave me that what’s wrong look. Once I started laughing she finally realized that I got her again 🙂 Cory tried to prank me this morning, but I was on point. Not falling for shit this year.

TWO – Ham + Cheese Quiche // Anyone else have a plethora of ham after Easter? I was so worried our ham wasn’t large enough for our bunch. Ummm, it was huge. We maybe ate half of it. I absolutely hate wasting food. So I whipped up one of my favorite Quiche recipes. I have seriously made this quiche recipe for over 10 years and it’s always so damn good…and easy too.

Where did the weekend go? It’s Monday, but it’s ok. I got this. Don’t forget to be awesome peeps!!

Friday night was all about Netflix and chillllll. Dinner + drinks + Fuller House marathon. With my fellow Mexico widow. Cory and his buddies were gone to Mexico for a “guys” weekend. So we got together to binge watch TV and catch up.

I honestly wasn’t planning on digging it as much as I did. We watched 5 episodes. It felt like I was re-living part of my childhood. I’ve seen every original episode of Full House more than once. Who remembers being pumped on Friday nights for TGIF? I sure do. DJ looks great. DJ Tanner, on the other hand looks like a hooker. Uncle Jessie is still smok’n. Have mercy!! Aunt Becki hasn’t aged a bit. Kimmy, is Kimmy. You just gotta love her. How about the Olsen twin jab? I cant believe those b’s wouldn’t join. What jerks.

Good morning + happy Monday!! Time to kick off a new week. In case you forgot, I kinda dig Monday’s. A fresh start to a new week with new goals. Kaia girls begin detox week. I have the opportunity to try out Peel’d for the first time. It’s a meal delivery service that supplies me with:

2 – cold pressed juices

1 – smoothie

1 – salad

1 – soup

Each day I will pick up my food for the following day. So today is the only day this week that I really had to think about what I’m going to make and eat. I will tell you all more about it toward the end of the week. If you are interested in checking it out click here.

Saturday I started off my day with Kaia Power Hour. It was a great workout. I brought a friend to try it out too. These girls below seriously kick ass. I must text Greta daily with questions and advice. She always has the answers. Thanks girls for being my support system.

We enjoyed breakfast at Savory Café. Plainfield Elementary School ( my daughter’s school) was having a fundraiser with the café. The food was so yummy. The are now even open for dinner….you have to check them out. Click here to view their menus.

Whoop Whoop! Happy Friday!

This week flew by, mainly because we were so busy. Next week I foresee a nice slow week. Yesss!

So, it’s Friday and you know the drill.

5 things on my mind today:

ONE – Number one obviously had to be Blake Shelton + Gwen Stefani. It’s all over the headlines. Even the CMA awards made a couple funny jabs. Sorry Miranda, but I’m totally diggin this! There is “No Doubt” this is the new power couple. What will we call them? Glake? Gwake? Blwen? Did you hear they wrote a country ballad together that is about telling a lover to leave the relationship if that is what they truly want? Can’t wait for that one to be released!!
