Highlights from the weekend……
Sonic //
I’m happy to report that I’m not the ONLY person that has NO clue you could buy Sonic’s pebble ice. I got lots of messages asking where to get it. The drive-thru! Order it just like you would a sonic burger with onion rings and a cherry slushee. It’s $3.12 for a 10 lb bag. I’m hooked!
Date Night //
Cory took me to one of our favorite spots, Moxie. It’s a little hole in the wall on H Street. If you’re ever looking to try something new or celebrate a special occasion, this is the place to go. Adam, the owner + server is the best. He’ll likely call you and angel and make you blush upon arriving. Ha! The menu isn’t anything spectacular. But, just wait. Adam will come to the table and rattle of about 20 specials. And you will want one of everything. Promise. Cory and I both went with the sea bass. It was hands down the best fish I’ve ever had. The presentation doesn’t hurt either. We also had a beet salad, and I’m not sure what they did to those beets, but there were out-fucking-standing. And we polished off a slice of carrot cake for dessert. Make reservations and plan a date night. I promise you will not be disappointed!
Donut Delivery //
Bay stayed the night with friends. They shopped till the dropped and had the best time. Bay sent me photos of each donut for their donut deliver…..it was so cute.
Aggie Classic //
I loaded up all the exhausted girls for the UC Davis Aggie Classic. They schooled on raising pigs. And we checked out the cutest little piglet that were going to be auctioned off.
Stuffed Bell Peppers //
GG requested my stuffed bell peppers. I used to make these all the time and it’s been years since I used this old recipe. Which I realized, I’ve never shared on here. So, recipe will be coming this week! She gave them 2 thumbs up!!!
Homemade Bread //
I also make a loaf of my homemade bread. Which is one of the easiest recipes. All you need is flour + salt + yeast + a dutch oven. Oh, and some time. I always get my bread started the day before.
You can find the recipe here: {friday 5}
Danny’s 40th //
We celebrated Danny’s 40th! Good times. Good beer. Good friends.
{Photo cred: Greta}
We even got Cortney in good ol Woodland.
Red Red Wine //
Pit stop for a glass of wine at Mojo’s.
Medicine Ball //
Some call it the “Cold Buster” or the “Medicine Ball” Starbucks finally put it on their menu. If you wake up with a sore throat, this is going to be your best friend.

Here’s the recipe…..
Medicine Ball
Money Honey //
Bay had her first real babysitting gig. And let’s just say, she got spoiled. She spent Saturday evening watching Cory’s sweet nephews. So, if you’re looking for a babysitter, Bay is ready to book some jobs! Ha!!! This helps support her Sephora + Ulta addiction!
Meal Prep //
I helped Cory meal prep his lunches for the week. He actually did all the cooking. I helped assemble. #soproud He did rice + zucchini + bbq chicken. And the chicken was BOMB.COM!
Cory Cocktail //
Bud light with a splash of Mike Hard Lemonade. Over a yeti full of Sonic ice pebbles. So good!
Pig Barn Sunday //
Megan, the pig whisper. She’s got a way with the pigs. And this little runt, I want to take him home with me. He’s the sweetest.
Bay’s got a busy few months ahead of her. Timothy + Archie are going to consume all her time and she’s 100% down with it. Timothy is the sweetest most calm yorkshire. And Archie….he’s a wild little dude. Run hot laps in his pin, doesn’t like to be brushed or really touched, just yet. But he’s pretty damn cute.
Every Day I’m Brusselin //
Trader Joe’s has purple brussels sprouts! Obvi I had to pick some up and try them out. They taste the exact same, if you ask me. But they are pretty and different.
Kitchen Towel: Target
My homemade bread turned out divine. We ate the whole damn thing…lol.
Cory Cooks Sunday Dinner //
Braised short ribs over mashed potatoes. With my purple brussles sprouts + homemade bread. He straight up killed it. The meat fell right off the bone. I’ll be sharing this recipe soon too!
Mathew Straub Was Here //
His brilliant trick to keep the red wine from dripping down the bottle. Wrap a paper towel around the neck of the bottle. Problem solved!
Baby Shower //
#goals Did you watch all the insta stories? Oh My God. All the housewives + John Mayer? Ha! They got tips. Danced on the tables. If I ever have another baby, I want one just like this. Minus the housewives + John Mayer. I just want my friends to get tips and dance on the tables…lol.
Avocado //
When you cut open the perfect Avo ♥ Today’s gonna be a good day!
Watering Day //
I’m quickly turning into the crazy plant lady. And I kinda like it!
That’s a wrap. Have a great Monday. Make shit happen. And see you back here tomorrow!
