I hope your to-do list looks a little something like this too!!

Friday 5…….

ONE – Bailey straw //  I saw one of these on instagram, googled it, bought it.  So fun, right?  To company is called Krazy Straws.  You select what you want it to say…anything.  I kinda want to get myself one that says bitch 🙂  And they are only $4.99 a pop.  Get you’re kiddo one and they will love you forever.  At least that’s what Bay told me when she opened the package 🙂

TWO – When last nights festivities leave you feeling subpar….you know it was a good time.  Who plays hand and foot till midnight on a Thursday?  Clearly we do.  Today’s group text messages + emails are pretty great!  Sleeping with earplug.  Birth stories.  Stolen sunglasses.  Little bear.  I could go on and on…Haha.  But the coolest thing, was the wine bottle opener Andrea got Nicole (who’s pregnant).  If you follow me on snapchat you know what I’m talking about..lol.  Cork Pops!  You insert the needle into the cork.  Press the top and it pops out using compressed air.

Cork Pops…The fastest, easiest way to open a bottle of wine! Simply insert the needle straight down through the cork, press once on the top of the low pressure propellant cartridge, and the cork is lifted out with a celebratory “POP”! What could be easier? Each cartridge will open approximately 60-80 bottles before requiring a replacement.

I bet you want one too, huh?  I will be placing my order…I’m sold!

Ps…wish I would have put my sunglasses on for this one 🙂

THREE – New York Times No-Knead Bread // I posted a picture of this beauty on Instagram a couple of weeks ago…and since have been asked by a couple ladies to please share the recipe.  So here ya go!  You must try this recipe.  I repeat, you Must try this recipe.  It’s simple.  No bread machine required.  All you need is patience.  21 hours (of patience) and you’ll dive into pure carb bliss!  This is my second time making this bread and I can vouch it is worth it!

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • cornmeal

Here’s what you do:

In a large bowl combine flour + yeast + salt.  Add 1 5/8 cups water and stir until blended.  Dough will be shaggy and sticky.  Cover bowl with plastic wrap and let rest at least 12 hours at room temperature.  I waited 18 hours this time.  SOOOO LONG.

Dough is ready when its surface is dotted with bubbles.  Lightly flour a work surface and place dough on it.  Sprinkle with a little more flour and fold it over on itself twice.  Cover loosely with plastic wrap and let reset about 15 minutes

Using just enough flour to keep dough from sticking to work surface and your hands, gently and quickly shape dough into a ball.  Generously coat a cotton kitchen towel (not terry cloth) with more flour + cornmeal.  Cover with another cotton towel and let rise for 2 hours.  When it is ready, dough will be more than double in size and will not readily spring back when poked with a finger.  (weird, I know…but you’ll get it when you try this)

At least 1/2 hour before dough is ready, heat oven to 450 degrees.  Stick your 8 quart pot (cast iron or Pyrex will  work too) in oven as it heats.  When dough is ready, carefully remove pot from oven.  Slide your hand under the towel and turn dough over into pot, seam side up.  It will look messy, but that is ok.  Give the pot a shake till dough is evenly distributed.  Cover with lid and bake 30 minutes.  Remove lid and bake an additional 15-30 minutes, until loaf is beautifully browned.

Cool and enjoy!!!
