Hi friends. Can you believe yesterday was my 3 year blog-versary? Time flies when you’re having fun!! I went back and looked at some of my first posts and wow. Things have changed. We’ll have to take a trip down memory lane sometime this week.
Hope you all had a fantastic weekend. Ours was equal parts relaxing and productive. Just how I like it. And I stayed in my pjs till around 9am both mornings. When’s the last time you scheduled a “chill” weekend? Honestly, I can’t remember. It was needed and enjoyed!
Intentions for the Week:
practice daily gratitude– (writing this down creates a huge shift in your mood..try it)date night with my2019 planner –(switching is so much work)watch my girl play volleyball– (still undefeated #gowildcats)- finish my Portland post – (almost done, so much to pack into one post)
dinner + drinks with the girls– (perfect way to end a crazy week)15,000 steps per day– (didn’t even make it to the gym Thursday and still did it. Shocked my damn self)clean up the back patio– (now if the wind will just go away)- find something cute to hang behind my stove – (still searching)
drink 1/2 my body weight in oz of water every day #hellabathroombreaks– (fact: you eat less when you’re so focused on water intake)write a post on my favorite + easiest salsa– (coming soon…stay tuned)one random act of kindness each day– (“cute top” “let me hold the door for you” smiling at randoms…in the most uncreepy way possible)make chili– (so bomb and packed with veggies)- wait patiently for my parents to get home from Cabo lol – (failed)
Highlights from the weekend…….
Friday night at the movies // I saw A Star Is Born. Such a great movie. I’ve had so many people ask me if it “that good” YES, it really it. Bradley Cooper is beyond handsome, even when they try to make him look like he’s not. Gaga was amazing. I bawled my eyes out. And when the movie was over, nobody even stood up. Everyone just sat there. That’s a sign of a good movie, my friends.
Tochos // aka tater tot nachos. I accidentally made these. Ha. They were so killer. Bay and I sat the pan straight from the oven to the coffee table and started digging in. It’s pretty self-explanatory, but I’ll share exactly what I did on {friday 5} this week!
45 Minutes a Day // It’s part of the #Last90Days Challenge. Move your body every damn day. I made it to the gym Saturday + Sunday. Which is a really fucking BIG deal. I’ve never, in my history, ever went to the gym twice in one weekend. #shitsgettingreal
Coffee Table Vibes // In my {fall to-do’s} I listed that I want to do a coffee table series. I LOVE changing up my coffee table. Sometimes I do it multiple times a week. It’s such a small space that makes such a big impact. And I’m burning my fallen leaf Chloe & Co. candle. You can now pick them up at Serendipity Boutique. Go get one!
Pretty Packaging // Love a pretty package. Well done Free People. I ordered the We The Free Molly Tee. Hoping I can find a way to style it and keep it. Stay tuned.
Football // We watched my nephew Benny play football. They are on a winning streak!
I watched the game with Daniel in my lap, when Bay didn’t have him on her hip.
This is how Bay watches football games…lol.
Target Basket // Julie from Salinas sent me a photo of her front door hanging basket from Target. Straight up front door #goals And the eucalyptus. I’ve already warned her I’m going to steal clippings the next time I’m in town.
Side Hustle // Worked on my side hustle. Which I realized I don’t believe I’ve ever shared here on xoxo stacyb. I’ve started doing social media for a couple of downtown shops. I get to snap pictures and come up with catchy one liners.
Front Porch // Which inspired me to get creative and complete my front porch. Pumpkins + purple fountain grass for the win. It’s killing me to not clip the fountain grass and stick it on my dining room table.
Rib Cook-Off // The only photo I took, so not like me. Cory’s team, Whiskey River BBQ Crew didn’t take the win this time. But, it was still a good time. And of course I’m wearing my J.Crew scoop neck Henley, AGAIN!
The Fight // Cory taught my nephew how to place bets…lol. For the record, he didn’t win. But the fight was pretty entertaining. Not the actual fight though…I’m talking the after show. WOW! What happens now?
Pizza // Cory’s homeboy Rich made the BEST homemade pizza on this bbq insert. And I officially added one to my wish-list. Or better yet, maybe I should get Cory one for Christmas so he can make me pizzas? Hmmm.
Cousins Sleepover // My nephew Joe stayed the night with us. I was nice to have an extra kid around. The laughter make me crazy happy.
Sundaze // My coffee view. Right before Callie took the world record largest crap, that I had to clean up.
Homemade salsa // I wiped up a batch of my homemade salsa. I swear I’ve blogged it before, but I searched my site and couldn’t find it. So, it will be coming this week!
Proper Breakfast // I can’t remember the last time that I had time, to make a proper Sunday morning breakfast. So, I went all out. Canned biscuits though.
Potatoes + chicken sausage + eggs over easy. With a slice of avocado over the top. BOMB! I vow to make breakfast every single Sunday…when time allows.
Prep // Then I kept cooking. Does that every happen to you? Once you start, you just want to make everything? Ha. Just me?
{DIY Succulent Pumpkin} delivery // We dropped off a pretty pumpkin + dinner to GG ♥
Nordy’s // Then we hit Nordy’s. I had a return and Bay is always down to make a trip to the mall. We picked up a few things…..2019 planner // white latte bowls // Supersoft top with ruffles //
One of everything please!
Sawyer’s Sweet Spot // Bay decided she didn’t want anything at Nordy’s, that she’d rather hit the new Candy Shop on Main Street. I’m down with that!
This is what candy heaven looks like
They’ve got it all! Like insect suckers……
Rows + rows of all the candy you heart could possibly desire.
Alright, that’s it for today. Hope you had a good one too. Go get em friends. Make today a good one!
xoxo stacyb
