{things to do in june}

HELLO JUNE! It’s gonna be good!!

Here’s the vibe and all the things we’re loving, doing, and looking forward to this month. Less fuss, less stress, less second guessing, less micromanaging, more creating, more moving, more laughing, more fun, more connection, more intention.

OUTFIT DETAILS: Strapless Midi Sundress ($35) | Denim Jacket | Raffia Sandals | Sunglasses

  • Walk the Arboretum. It’s gorgeous right now.
  • Find a new lemon recipe to try out. I highly recommend: {magnolia table lemon bars} or {lemon spaghetti}
  • Did you know reading (audiobooks in my case) is just as addicting as Netflix?  Check out my {2023 summer reading list}
  • Prioritize walking outdoors. #mentalhealth // Make a standing date with a girlfriend.
  • Pick up the tennis rackets. We haven’t played since we lived in our condo over 2 years ago and it’s such a good time + workout.
  • Master the perfect side salad to keep in the weekly rotation. Two of my current faves: {the perfect side salad} and {italian salad}
  • Make your bed in the morning. It’s the easiest way to feel accomplished immediately.
  • Buy yourself flowers. Every week I make a pit stop at TJ’s for fresh flowers. I arrange them in a pitcher and set them on the kitchen island where I can admire them all week.
  • Skip the blow dryer. Give your locks a little break and try some air dried styles.
  • Weekly Crumbl Cookie dates. Could it be better than happy hour? Hmmm
  • Have more Sunday Funday’s. Barbeque in the backyard. Pull out the corn hole boards. Music playing!!
  • Try the honey lavender latte at Morgan Mill – hot or cold, so damn good.
  • Tour the Capay Valley Lavender Farm. They have pick your own lavender bundles + lavender treats too!!
  • Switch up your space. Kinda like your wardrobe from winter to summer. I’m shopping for some new pillows + throw blanket. Something fun and bright: Funny Needlepoint Pillows | Floral Lumbar | Bright Yellow Chenille | Dobby Throw | Tufted Blanket with Tassels
  • Send a friend some extra love with a bouquet from Roxie’s Flower Truck.
  • Try a Pilates reformer class. Anyone wanna go?
  • Pick up a new dress from Target. So many cute ones right now. Here’s some good ones: <a href="http://<div data-sc-widget-id="P-6478e5f36c5b600ff612e82a"></div><script async src="//widgets.shopstyle.com/shopstyle-widget-snippet.js">Target Summer Dresses
  • Plant a vegetable garden. I stuck some green onion bottoms (the part you would normally toss) in the garden last weekend and they are legit growing. It’s so fucking rewarding.
  • For garden inspo + amazing plant varieties go to Lemuria Nursery in Dixon
  • Make coffee ice cubes with leftover morning coffee. Just freeze in an ice cube tray and pop in your iced coffee in the afternoon. No more watered down coffee.
  • Visit the farmers market. Woodland Saturday Market is back.
  • Go to the movies and see: Little Mermaid (really cute) | Barbie (coming out July 21st) | You Hurt My Feelings with Julia Louis-Dreyfus | The Starling Girl
  • And as always, bust out all the red, white + blue!!!
