First day of BRIK and guess what?  I turned my 4:25 am alarm off…instead of snooze.  I hit off.  I woke up at 5:00 am on the dot.  Jumped up and did the “oh shit” thought about laying back down and saying f it.  But, I didn’t.  Remember – NEVER miss a Monday.  Even if you’re 10 minutes late.  I’m so happy I made it, even though holy shit it was hardcore.  If today was any indication of how the rest of BRIK is going to be….I’m scared.  Very scared.  The stations were beyond intense.  Good luck today Kaia girls.

Hope everyone had a kick ass weekend!

FRIDAY //

Thank you Nikki + Kris for the bomb tacos and Chard.  #chardsohard Someone told me this last week and it just screams Nikki and her love of chardonnay 🙂

I can’t for the life of me remember what was so damn funny….but, clearly it was good!

I met up with one of my best high school girlfriends for drinks + a catch up session.  We were so busy chatting that I didn’t get a single picture.  Can you believe it?  Me either.

SATURDAY //

The mountains were calling our name.  Our family cabin just so happen to be vacant.  We loaded up bright and early and hit the road.   Ohhhhh Tahoe.  I love your fresh mountain air, sandy beaches + laid back living.  So happy we were able to take in your views one last time this summer.

Does it get any better than this?  I think NOT!

Shopping at the Heavenly Village.  Bailey finally found the Selfie Mic.  Please tell me you’ve seen the commercials?  I have to admit, it’s pretty fun.  She thinks it’s going to up her Musically game, big time!  And of course, we finished out day at Lake Tahoe Pizza Company.  Our love for pizza is strong.  Like really, really strong!  It’s also kinda my pre-BRIK thing too.

SUNDAY //

Selfie Mic selfies first thing in the morning, duh!  Do you see the gold mic in my hand?  Haha.

We hiked the Eagle Lake Trailhead.  We’ve actually done this hike a few times before, but it’s so gorgeous that you can do it over and over again and still enjoy it each time.

We stopped and hung out at the top of the waterfall for I don’t even know how long.  Want to talk about peaceful?  I took pictures of my girl.  She’s turned into such the daredevil.  Climbing all over the rocks and giving me a minor heart attack.  You can’t tell from the picture that the water is absolutely freezing ass cold.  Remember – there was a waterfall on the other end of this creek.

We’ve promised each other that the next time we do this hike, we will pack to stay for the day and check out more of the trail past Eagle Lake into Desolation Wilderness.  I’m little kid in a candy store crazy excited…haha.

This rock staircase is the trail.  It’s tough!

Next time you make you’re way to Tahoe, please remember this hike.  It’s truly a MUST!  I promise you won’t regret it!!

Bailey got this shot from the passenger side window as we drove over the spine.  I was too busy freaking out that we were going to go off the side to even look at the beautiful view.

We had to squeeze in just onnneeee more beach day.  Bailey got to paddle board, so she was as happy as could be.  I, on the other hand, forgot my suit and had to kick it in my sports bra and lulu leggings.  Embarrassing.  And you should see my okie tan now…FML.

My mom and her friends, that are staying on the West Shore, spotted us sitting at Pope Beach.  That flamingo gave us away…lol.  When Bay figured out it was Gram, you better believe she hoped in the flamingo and swam out to their boat as fast as she could.  Next thing I know, I see them scoop her and the flamingo up in the boat and take off.

Thank you Tahoe for one last perfect weekend.  Our endless Tahoe summer is officially over.  We hated to say goodbye to the cabin.

There is nothing like escaping to Lake Tahoe.  It never fails to leave me refreshed and grateful.  Till next time, we love you Tahoe ♥
