Happy Tuesday peeps! Sorry for the multiple posts today. Yesterday’s {weekend notes} was all set and ready to publish and somehow about half of the post was gone. Deleted. Nowhere to be found. And I chose to drink wine instead of work on it more last night. Priorities…..You know how it goes.
So today you get a BOGO. Except you didn’t have to buy shit to get the second one free. lol.
I was flipping trough a Taste of Home magazine last week and stumbled on these adorable marble meringue hearts. I’m such a sucker for cheesy Holiday tchotchkes + treats. And since I had all 4 ingredients for the meringues and there was no school yesterday, I recruited Bay the Baker to whip some up. I have one on each place setting.

Not only are they so cute, but they’re edible. It got me thinking. What if the bottom of each heart meringue was dipped in dark chocolate? Hmmm!
Then I stayed up overthinking….again. Around 3 am per usual. And I designed a Valentine’s Day table setting in my head. Totally normal, right?
Using everything we already had on hand. Other than the fresh roes. Which were a complete rip-off, by the way. $20 bucks at Raley’s. Gahhh. I wanted to cry, but I just didn’t have a TJ’s trip on the agenda so shit had to happen. For the record….Trader Joe’s flowers are not only a bang for your buck. They last so much longer than any other grocery store flower. Not sure what the hell they do to them, but I’m a strict TJ’s stem shopper for those reasons.

This centerpiece is just roses. In a pretty white pitcher. Originally this basket found it’s home on the coffee table, but I added it to the table and LOVED it. So, now we have to work on the coffee table again..ha!
Since the pitcher was small-ish for the basket, I pulled down my mirror eucalyptus garland and wrapped it around the pitcher. Then draped the velvet heart garland on top for an added heart bonus.

Bay also did all these super cute envelope napkin folds for me. They are the perfect touch to a Valentine’s Day Table. Stick a handwritten note to each of your people and stick in the the envelope at their spot at the dinning table. Or have your kids sneak in some valentines. Such a sweet touch. And you’re going to die when you see how easy they are to do.

Bay demoed the napkin fold for you guys today!!!
Step #1 Step #2 Step #3 Step #4 Step #5 Step #6
#1 – Lay your square napkin in front of you
#2 – Fold the napkin in half, diagonally. With the point facing up. Making a triangle.
#3 – Fold the edges by taking the bottom corners and fold to meet the middle.
#4 – Fold the edges again. Fold the outer edges in once again so they meet in the middle.
#5 – Create the flap by folding the bottom half up until it meets the bast of the triangle.
#6 – Seal the envelope by folding down the triangle flap. Top with a meringue to seal the envelope.
