September.  The month our to-do lists grow longer.  Our summer tans begin to fade.  School begins.  Kids social schedules trump ours.  Our lives start to feel busier than ever.  And we begin questioning the commitments we’ve made.  Would we actually be happier with less?  With fewer obligations on the calendar?

Am I the only one craving some simplicity?

I swear every conversation this week started with OMG, why is life so crazy right now?

So, I’m vowing to simplify in every area possible to try to find some fucking balance.   Anyone want to join me?

Let’s take a minute to reminisce the good ol summer days of August.  Back when everything seemed a little more chill.  A lot sunnier.

In case you missed it…..

27 posts.  One, in which, happened to be my highest ratings in some time.  Can you guess which one it was?

Over a month later and I can declare these are still {the perfect white denim}

One thing I’m going to miss about summer are recipes like these {caprese stuffed avocados}

My current favorite photo of Bay + my tried & true favorite beauty product on {friday 5}

I wasn’t sure if a weekly recap was necessary, but you guys are reading it, so I’ll continue posting them.  {this week on xoxostacyb}

{weekend notes} Bay’s first English horse show.  And my first time attending an event sober!  Ha!

This {taco salad bowls} recipe would be PERFECT for tonight

That romper though {july // in review}

According to stats you guys were into {what’s in my bag}

{friday 5} zucchini pizzas…yum.  Pretty coffee table set up.  Monochromatic outfit perfect for transitioning to fall.

{this week on xoxostacyb}

Cory + I had the best time in Half Moon Bay riding our beach cruisers on the CCT {weekend notes}

{magnolia table chocolate chip cookies} are legit so damn good

This {summer table setting} got me wanting to work on my Fall table STAT!

Remember that one time {i gave up alcohol for 30 days!!!} I’d rather do that again than continue this shopping freeze crap…lol! This was the highest viewed post of the month.  Pretty sure you guys didn’t believe me!

You can ONLY keep 3 + TJ’s finds + Lee Middle School + Magnolia new arrivals – that was a good {friday 5}

{this week on xoxostacyb}

Yolo County Fair overload in {weekend notes}

Anyone made my {slow cooker salsa chicken // and back to school hacks}?

{morning routine + 1st day of school #ootd’s} happy to report, we are still prepping like champs since the first week of school.  And….we haven’t been late once!  This my friends, is a BIG deal!

Awww, the Jason Mraz song from {this is twelve}

{bay’s bedroom makeover} We pulled off the surprise and I absolutely love how the room turned out

Another weekly recap {this week on xoxostacyb}

Exploring Lake Tahoe with Mom + Bay on {weekend notes} ♥

{top 5 favorite beaches} took me the longest to write.  Have you been to any of the beaches I listed?  I’m about to cross one-off my “list to visit” in a couple of weeks.

Dreaded {spending freeze} is FINALLY over next week.  J.Crew + Madewell + Target better watch out!

The day I wrote {sh*t day} was actually a REAL shit day.  But that photo of GG still makes me smile!

On the final {friday 5} of the month, I talked once again, about my love for Bath & Body Leaves 3-wick candles.  Please tell me you’ve picked one up by now?

And I couldn’t leave you without an outfit.  This is my slowwwwly transitioning to Fall look.  The sweater is a MUST.  But, the main attraction, if you ask me?  The booties.  They are $39 and I can’t stop wearing them!  Great height and crazy comfy.  What more can a gal ask for?

You can shop this look head-to-toe here:
