Hi friends. Doing something a little different today. Do we call it a styling session? I’m not really sure? Ha! I’ve been trying to get this post up since September and somehow just haven’t gotten around to to. Maybe because it’s a little out of my comfort level? Who knows, but I decided today was the day! Happy FRIDAYYYYY!

A BIG HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to all the Mama’s out there. I hope you get to rest + relax at some point this weekend. I hope you get the day off from wiping butts. Maybe even brunch withOUT the rugrats. Or breakfast in bed? Preferably take-out so your kitchen isn’t f’ed up. A special handmade card from school. Oh and how about one of those macaroni noodle necklaces? Yes, I hope you get one of those too! And maybe a homemade coupon book? Filled with “leave me alone” vouchers. Ha! Whatever you do, have a good one! Cheers!

Weekend plans? You guys, I’m a free woman. Well, kinda. More like my calendar is free AF! Meeting some of my girlfriends for happy hour tonight. A little shopping tomorrow. Followed with a Mother’s Day spa date at Cache Creek Casino. Sunday we’re doing the Capay Garden Tour. Never done it before, but I keep hearing great things. I’m looking forward to a weekend of family + friends + cheers!

Now let’s chat about steps….baby steps. We’ve slowly been making an effort to be less wasteful and reduce our plastic waste. Today I’m sharing some of the simple changes we’ve made in our home. I know that even the small part I play can actually make a difference

{new closet staples}

Everyone has their closet staples.  Mine always consist of a good pair of denim + cute shoe + some kind of jewelry that goes with everything!  I grabbed a couple of new pieces last week that will be making the regular rotation.  So, obvi I must share the goods.

Check out the flat lay.  Cannot remember the last time I did a photo like this.  Bay even commented that I used to do them ALL.THE.TIME.  I think I’m going to bring the flat lay back.  What do you think?  Kinda gives you a better look at the items.

 

Ok, so last weekend a girlfriend and I were talking….

You know when someone compliments something you’re wearing and you say:

“Target $20”

So me!  I love telling peeps where to get cute stuff.  Especially when I didn’t pay a shit ton for it.

But, don’t you hate it when you say “cute top” and the chick says “thanks!”

It’s like….Ummm, wait!  Details please!!??!  WTF?

Hook a sister up.  Tell me all about what you got on girlfriend.  Let’s share the cute shit wealth.
