I’ve been on the hunt for a large dipped vase. And it’s been a no-go!
Started digging through my vase collection and found this canister. Tossed the lid and thought, hmmmm! I can make this cute.
This DIY took me 1 day. And I absolutely LOVE the way it turned out! Don’t you love it when that happens? I can add this to my Pinterest success…ha!
A little painters tape + spray paint and…..Voila!
The easiest + cutest dipped vase! It didn’t cost me a thing, since I had everything on hand already. I figure from start to finish – you’re looking at about $20. But, go through your garage first. Chances are – you’ve got a can a spray paint and painters tape laying around.
If you don’t – it’s all good. Everything is on Amazon Prime and I’ve made it real easy and linked everything below. So, technically you could complete this project by the weekend! Amazon Prime is my Boo!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1 bunch eucalyptus
- 1 bunch wax flower
- 1 bunch carnations (any smaller white flower will do)
- Vase
- White Spray Paint + Primer combo
- Painters tape
- Plastic grocery bag
Place tape around the vase. Securing firmly. It wont be perfect, but that’s okay!
Place a plastic grocery bag over the top of the vase and secure it with more painters tape. And you’re ready to paint.
Flip vase upside down and lightly spray bottom and sides of vase. Allow to dry 30 minutes. Repeat. I did this 3 times to get the desired coverage.
Allow final coat of paint to dry overnight before removing paint.
For the arrangement, I first place my eucalyptus in the vase allowing it to drape over the sides.
Once again, it doesn’t have to be perfect.
Add wax flower stems in the center spreading out evenly.
Lastly, add carnations.
Fill with water and you’ve got a cute arrangement for $9! In an even cuter DIY vase!
That’s it! I love how it turned out. Such a fun and easy project.
