{new trader joe’s finds}

You could call me a “Trader Joe’s Junky!” Maybe a Target + J.Crew + Nordy’s junky too. Ha. Trader Joe’s shopping is one of my favorite pastimes. I guess I could refer to it as my hobby?

I’ve got a whole tab chuck full of Trader Joe’s blog post: xoxostacyb – Trader Joe’s

Taking long walks down each and every isle. Ahh, it’s one of my favorite things to do. Right when those automatic double doors open up, I beeline it for the floral section. I scope out the eucalyptus first. Always. Then walk about the the whole stem section once. Or twice to check out all the pretty blooms.

Next thing, I hit the coffee pot for a mini sample of coffee. I’m come back once or twice for a re-fill.

Every time I make a TJ’s run my DM’s fill up with questions on the New products. And what I got. So, I’m going to tell you ALL THE THINGS Trader Joe’s new arrivals. Everything I’ve picked up in 2019 that I loved. And a few that I legit hated too.

Things I’m Totally LOVING:

ABC Bars – 160 calories pocket sized delight. Soft chewy chocolaty dough with a creamy almond butter filling. They are gluten free + vegan! I’ve been really lazy with breakfast the last week. These have been my grab and go eat in the car on the way to work breakfast. They go incredibly well with coffee too.

Organic Buffalo Style Hummus – OMG!! So good! I dipped TJ’s plantain chips and fell in love with this hummus. I have buffalo chicken lettuce wraps on the menu. I’m planning to spread a layer of this hummus on the lettuce. Top with chicken. Sprinkle blue cheese. Doesn’t that sound so good? Stay tuned. I’ll tell you all about it.

Indian Fare Madras Lentils – I swore I didn’t love lentils for years. I was grabbing my mini coffee at TJ’s the other day and I wanted to droll of the Sample tray. It was this microwavable lentil packet with a piece of bread to dip. I rarely try the samples or buy them. There was NO way I could pass this one up. I haven’t made it at home yet, but plan to this weekend.

Broccoli and Kale Pizza Crust – Disclaimer: I haven’t tried this yet. I have tried and love all the other pizza crusts, so I imagine this one wont let me down. It’s gluten free and the ingredients are legit: broccoli, black kale, corn flour, olive oil and salt. I picked up fresh burrata cheese, vegan kale cashew pesto, mushrooms and arugula for toppings. Makes my mouth water!

Corn, Pea, Bean & Quinoa Crisps – My only complaint: can we get these in a party sized bag please? These veggie packed crisps are so good all on their own. No dipping needed. Bay and I killed a whole bag on the way home from the other day.

Organic Rosé Vinaigrette – Made with organic sunflower oil + organic red wine vinegar + spices + organic agave syrup to sweeten it up a bit. I really like this dressing over my everyday salad. But, Ranch will always be my #1 Boo!

Pancake Bread – “a twist on a buttermilk short stack, baked into a sweet, moist loaf” This has been Bay’s breakfast of choice lately. I tried it for the first time and I can see why she’s obsessed with it. Damn good!

Lemon Ginger Seltzer Water – Nutrition facts: All 0’s, which is why I picked up a four pack for the first time. I love to have one in the afternoon. You know, when you want to reach for a snack? Really, really good as a mixer too! I did pick up the Cranberry and Lime (which does contain calories + sugar) and I didn’t like it at all.

Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips Chili + Lime Flavored – Two words: Hot damn. These things are dangerously good. Basically TJ’s take on Taki’s. Buy two bags if you have taki lovers in your house. They’ll kill these in one sitting.

Organic Creamy Cashew Fiesta Dip – Dairy – Free and Organic. You MUST warm this dip before diving in. I tried it straight from the fridge cold….no bueno. Once I heated it up. Game changer. Cory + Bay weren’t sold, but they sure did contribute to polishing off the container.

Gochujang Chop Salad Kit – If bagged salads are your jam, you need to pick up this new one. A Korean salad with cabbage, lettuce, carrots, celery and radish. With puffed brown rice and black sesame seeds. It’s unique! I added grilled chicken and made a couple of lunches out of it.

Organic Hot & Spicy Dill Chips – BOMB! I made a pickle pizza using these. Hear of it? It’s basically sauce + lots of cheese + pickles. Sounds weird, I know. Trust me on this one. I’m a pizza gal…I kinda know my shit when it comes to the topic. Bay like these in her lunch to stack on her cheese and crackers. I could eat them straight from the jar.

Tortilla Chips Seasoned with Brussels Sprouts, Garlic, Onion & Parsley – I don’t buy ANYTHING with garlic in the name. Not a garlic fan. So when I see it in the title, it’s a hard NO. Bought these thinking they were just brussels sprouts chips. They are delish. Not overly garlicy at all. I made nachos with melted mozzarella cheese and bacon #fatypants and it was to.die.for. Also great alone, straight from the bag.

Mushroom & Company Multipurpose Umami Seasoning Blend – Say that 5 times fast! This is Everything But the Bagel Seasonings competition. It’s $2.99 and a little dab will do ya. So this will last you a long time. I LOVE sprinkling over my eggs. I’ve used it to season meat. Veggies. Over salads. It’s good!

Things I’m NOT Digging:

Watermelon Jerky – Sickening! Absolutely disgusting. I was so sad, I had really hopes for this new arrival. Knowing that I’m not a fruit person…especially watermelon. I had Bay try it too. She spit it out immediately. Then tried to give it to some kids. Nope, they all hated it. So I tossed it.

Dark Chocolate Sunflower Butter Cups – After reading rave review after review, I picked up a pack of these cups when I was checking out. Got in my car and opened them up and was instantly super disappointed. They are overly sunflowery. Not fresh tasting. Just not good. I even tossed the second cup in the package.

Avocado Tzatziki Dip – I have to admit, when I first opened this dip I was starving. Dipped veggies and was happy. Opened it up the next day to put a scoop on my salad. That day, I couldn’t eat my salad because I was so turned off by the tzatziki. I went to Taco Bell instead.

I could go on and on. Ha. I love to talk clothing + food.

I hope you add some of these items to your next TJ’s haul. Tell me all about it. Love it or hate it, I wanna hear your thoughts.

Have a great day and see you back here tomorrow!!

xoxo stacyb
