OH YEAH it’s FRIDAY!!  Today is a good day!  I’m ready to wrap up this work week and move on to the weekend!

But first, I’ve got 5 things on my mind……

ONE –  Last night my mom came over to help my hang my new curtains.  Like normal, we chatted for about an hour.  We did get one of the curtains up though.  Anyway, she mentioned Halo Top.  Unless you live under a rock, you know exactly what I’m talking about.  I literally was looking on their web-site to see where I could get a pint earlier that day.  I keep reading all the hype about this low-calorie, high-protein, low-sugar, all natural ice cream.  Healthy ice cream?!?!  You mean I can eat ice cream and not get fat?  We said screw it and went to Nugget to try it out.

So many flavors to choose from…..

They offer the basic  Chocolate + Vanilla Bean + Strawberry.  Or if you’re a little more adventurous, they offer flavors like Pistachio + Red Velvet + S’mores.

You can see all the flavor options below….

After reading all the jazz about this fancy new ice cream for weeks, pretty sure I’m the ONLY person that will say this…..I wasn’t impressed.  The Nutritional Facts are impressive, but the texture just wasn’t there for me.  It’s called ice CREAM for a reason…this isn’t creamy at all.  The message on the carton says something like, “it’s worth the wait” meaning, let that hard ass frozen stuff set for a bit.  Aint nobody got time for that.  I couldn’t eat a whole pint of either flavor, even for cash money!  I get it, it’s healthy AF and all that good stuff.  If I’m going to splurge on ice cream, I think I’ll save my $5.99/pint and stick with a scoop of Mocha Almond Fudge from Baskin Robins.

What are your Halo Top thoughts?  Did I just try bunk flavors?

TWO – 15 reasons to go to Target!!  I was in the store last week and in total awwww.  So many cute springy colors.  TONS of swimsuits.  A couple of my girlfriends got the radest suits.  The shoe department.  Don’t skip it!  Did you see that Target just did a colab with Baublebar?  Everything is under $30!  You MUST go!

THREE – Kaia Friday Flow //  We are on week #5 of BRIK.  Hell week!  I went to Kaia for Friday Flow today.  I love that coach Kori shares a message each Friday.  Today’s message: for every bad thought or action, it takes 5 good thoughts/actions to get rid of  that one bad.  Does that make sense?  Not sure how to word it.  But, it really got me thinking.  I was going into this weekend thinking it may not go as planned.  Being a little on the negative side.  During savasana, I quickly changed those thoughts/feelings.  Side note – can you believe I now stay for savasana, crazy right?  If I focus on the negative, then that’s what I will get.  Not to mention, negative thoughts are so beyond draining.  It’s Friday, I need to put on my happy pants and smile.  So instead, I will think of all the good that could/will come.  I instantly felt so much better walking out of Kaia today.  Thanks Kori for changing my day/weekend around with a simple message.

FOUR – Bay’s new kitchen gadget, the strawberry slicer!  This was intended to be part of her Valentine’s Day gift.  But, I screwed up and agreed to letting her open the package on the front porch completely forgetting that I had ordered this.  It’s pretty cute.  And would make for a pretty cute Valentine’s day gift too:)  Bay has been slicing strawberries for her lunch + breakfast + dessert like a mad women.  We’ve gone through 2 cartons just this week alone.  I found this one at Walmart.com for $3.95 + free shipping.  Worth every penny.  I throw it in the dishwasher too.

Walmart ($3.95) – Modern Home Strawberry Slicer

Amazon ($5.25) – Joie Simply Slice Strawberry Slicer

Bed Bath & Beyond ($5.99) – 2-Piece Strawberry Hull & Slice Set

William Sonoma ($11.96) – Chef’n Strawberry Slicer
