Today I am feeling grateful for such a beautiful sunshine ☀️ filled weekend. And Great Bear Vineyards 🍷

Tell me something you’re feeling grateful for and I’ll randomly pick one of you to send a Starbucks on me ☕️

Intentions for the week…..

  • Stay healthy
  • Eat healthy
  • Drink a shit-ton of water
  • Hit my 15,000 steps per day goal
  • Get good sleep
  • Dog license renewals
  • Doormat poll (I have two and cant decide between)
  • Finish thank you notes
  • Share Ikea finds (aka the middle finger on my mantel)
  • Hang my new Dots Framed Under Glass with Mat in the dining room
  • Make heart shaped dog treats
  • Visit High Hand Nursery + Green Acres in search of the perfect Olive Tree

Kicked off the the weekend with my girl Nikki – a sushi + chard date. It was wayyy overdue and so nice. First time having sushi in months. So pumped that Yolo County restaurants are open back up for outdoor dining. I did my deed supporting local this weekend…..

Cory + his homies + two 4 legged helpers did some yard prep for our shed. We have so many fun plans for our backyard and it’s so exciting seeing progress being made!

While Cory worked, we sipped wine….

Spent Saturday afternoon with my mama + Bay checking out Great Bear Vineyards for the first time and fell in love with their Chardonnay. The owners walked around and chatted with customers. Piano music playing in the background. The tasting areas are in three spots throughout the winery. I felt very safe as they are taking every covid precaution.

And the landscaping. Oh man, it was breathtaking.

I’m currently obsessed with landscaping. I legit daydream about it…ha! The winery has gorgeous olive trees around the perimeter. I was in awe of how manicured and well maintained the grounds are.

We tried the chardonnay, which was dreamy. It’s not buttery. So crisp and clean. I could have easily drank and entire bottle sitting in the sun. Ha! Then split a bottle of the The Graduate, which is a cabernet sauvignon. Also delicious.

The next picnic date is scheduled for Saturday, January 23rd. I highly suggest grabbing a ticket and checking it out. The $15 ticket includes a glass of wine + a wine glass. Then you can purchase bottles after. Pack a picnic and make a day out of it. Kids + dogs are welcome too 🙂

SATURDAY GLASS OF WINE – $15 PER PERSON (1/23)

Saturday afternoon some of my favorite girls spoiled me for a belated birthday celebration. Lots of margs at Maria’s were had.

If you haven’t tried the salmon taco….DO IT! So, so good! I was in heaven.

Happy Birthday Eta! We surprised my grandmothers caregiver with a pretty cake for her birthday!

Other than being time consuming, these cakes are pretty easy to make.

Here is the pan we use. 2 boxes of cake mix. 2 tubs of frosting. Sprinkles + a bunch of flowers.

Did anyone score some of the new McGee line at Target? Here are my top picks:

Lots of meal prep. For everyone asking, here is my no-fail pesto recipe….

Got to cuddle with this sweet babe.

Cory killed it on the smash burgers. They have officially be perfected on the blackstone.

As you can see, I basically ate + drank my way through the weekend. HA! And somehow never snapped a photo at the Fricke’s where I got tip twice? lol!
