Do you ever wake up Monday and think, damn that was a good weekend? That was me this morning. I woke up feelin it! Maybe the 8 1/2 hours of sleep I got last night contributed to that? Likely. But, it really was a good one. We had family tme + lots of time with Bay + did a little shopping + drank a margarita the size of my head + Yaya time + baking with Bay + sleepovers + cooking for GG ♥
Anyway, I hope you all have a little extra pep in your step today too!
Friday nights at Blue Note have become a family thing!
Somehow we all congregate here. Sometimes unplanned. But, I like it. I love the kicked back vibe and it’s a bar that allows kids. I mean, Yesssss!
And a band. A good band….
Ran into one of my favorites, What’s up Rachel!!!
The fam-bam ♥
We had the boys for a sleepover. They had me laughing all night! Love those crazy boys!!
Saturday morning was the final workout/measurements for Kaia Fit Woodland BRIK. Melika gave out awards to some special ladies. Kaia Queen, The the hard working Mama (she’s a 5am’er that is pregnant and gets it), Biggest weight loss (over 14 lbs in 6 weeks), and a tribute to a Kaia girl who’s journey was documented/followed though out BRIK. Melika’s words brought tears to the whole house. Even my cold-hearted ass got teary! It was a great 6 weeks!
I’ll be sharing my results later this week. Stay tuned…..
The sun was out Saturday! It was still cold AF, but the sun was out! We spent time outside working in the yard, car wash and even a bike ride. Who else is beyond ready for some sunny days + higher temps?
Then Alex rained on my parade (literally) by tell me that March is going to be the wettest month yet! F that. NO thank you!
Check out the cool video I snuck of Bay 🙂
And we went back to Blue Note…haha. We kinda like it there a little. The Squeeze Inn food truck was slangin burgers + hot dogs (lol). “hamburgers are here!!”
Sunday was spent with the Yaya’s! Brunch + Galentine’s + Pub crawl! We celebrated 2 special Yaya’s Birthday’s too. Nikki + Tara! I convinced the girl in the Nugget bakery that writing “Happy Birthday Bitches” on a chocolate overflow cake was completely necessary. She finally agreed! Haha!
After brunch we played a Pub Crawl B-I-N-G-O!
This was one of the easier cards. Tramp stamp + sweat stains + dyed hair were marked off pretty quickly!
Hot Dude + Eye Candy + Suit & Tie + Last Call were not likely to happen at noon on a Sunday in Downtown Woodland…lol!
If you’re planning a day or night out with your girls print these cards and try it out. I think later in the day and more drinks downed, this could get fun!
card #1
card #2
card #3
card #4
card #5
card #6
And when the price per person to cut the cake (swear) is so dumb, so you box up the cake and make it a cake/pub crawl. Haha! Proof that this is a true story 🙂
T + Nikki, the birthday babes ♥
Love these girls + so happy that no matter what life throws at us, we can still have a great time together and be there for each other ♥ Now that’s true Yaya’s!!!
(missing two of our Yaya’s Erica + Korynne)
As always, good times!!
Check out all the Galentine’s I came home with. Minus Nikki’s bomb.com rice krispy treats that I inhaled within minutes of receiving.
Cant forget Sunday’s at the pig barn….
Say Hi to Barbie-Q! She’s not camera shy at all 🙂
Last but not least, the peek to my week!
When you invite GG over for dinner and she shows up with her road soda! No joke. And peeps wonder where I get it from?!?!
Bay + I had my parents + GG over for an early Valentine’s dinner. Remember I shared the Nugget Secret Special on Friday 5? Filets were on crazy sale, so we stocked up.
On the Menu:
bacon wrapped filets with truffle butter
mashed potatoes – the real deal, not mashed cauliflower…lol
roasted asparagus
green salad
garlic bread
With a glass of chard in had, I have to admit, Bay + I killed it in the kitchen! Everything turned out phenomenal. My first time preparing filets too.
I seared them in a cast iron (with lots of butter + olive oil) for 2 minutes per side. Then stuck them in the 415 preheated oven for 8 minutes. Removed and tented for 5 minutes. That’s it!
GG was impressed, which always makes my day. It was the cheat meal of the century. She couldn’t believe the menu…..
#1 – I rarely eat/cook red meat. Just not my thing.
#2 – I used full fat everything and said fuck it.
#3 – Even potatoes! I haven’t eaten a real potato since like 2016…lol
#4 – That bacon though…..
Followed by our obligatory selfie. Except Dad took it this time since I have short arms!!
Now do you see what it was a pretty fantastic weekend?!?!
Today marked day #1 of the new Kaia CORE Session. You guys, it was so hard. Burpees for dayyyysss. Nonetheless, super excited to begin a new session and make some new fitness goals! Just hope I can walk tomorrow 🙂
