Who’s with me?

I had to pay $80 this morning to keep blogging.  Really?  I couldn’t upload anymore pictures.  All my gigs were used.  I bought 10 more and I’m good to go.  I couldn’t leave you all hangin!  Haha!!

At least it’s Friday!  And I have plans to eat Pho tonight.  Soooo, that makes it a little better.

Friday 5 means I’ve got 5 things on my mind……..

 

 

ONE – Thai Pasta Salad // I swear I’ve shared this gem before?!?!  I searched the blog and couldn’t find it anywhere.  Just for good measure I’ll share it again.  Because, it’s a keeper.  A crowd pleaser.

My photo really doesn’t do it justice.  It looks so boring.  But, trust me – it’s NOT!  This salad is packed with flavor.  Sesame oil…need I say more?

Here’s what you’ll need:

• 1 package angel hair pasta (1lb)
• 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
• ¼ cup corn oil
• ½ cup sesame oil
• 6 tablespoons honey (seka hills preferably)
• 5 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
• ½ teaspoon salt
• ½ cup cilantro, chopped
• ¾ cup peanuts, chopped
• ½ cup green onions, chopped
• 2 tablespoons sesame seeds

 

Directions:

Cook noodles, drain.  In a sauce pan, stir in red pepper flakes, corn oil & sesame oil over medium heat for 2 minutes.  Add honey, soy sauce and salt.  Mix well with noodles.  Cover and refrigerate for several hours. (I make mine the night before)

When ready to serve, add chopped cilantro, peanuts, green onion to noodles.

Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve.

Is your mouth-watering?  Mine is.  My sister is making a double recipe for my Dad’s 60th birthday party this weekend….SCORE!!!

THREE – Yaya’s carved pumpkins last night.  Bitches got crafty!  With knives in hand.  And glitter!  Then we drank wine + devoured cobbler + joked about all the plastic surgery we want…haha.  Botox butt injections?  Sure, why not!

I was a little disappointed in my #basicbitch jack-o-lantern.  It’s cute and all, but really?  I  couldn’t come up with anything better?  We have our family annual carving contest Sunday and I need to step it up, or I won’t be winning….again.  I found Trendy pumpkin carving stencils and I plan to whip out a bad ass design!

FOUR – I wasn’t originally going to share this, but decided fuck it!  I did colon therapy.  There I said it!  Haha!  I know what you’re thinking…this bitch does therapy for EVERYTHING!  I totally do.  I’m down to try anything once.  Especially if I think it can be helpful!  And to be completely honest.  I’d totally do this shit (pun intended) again in a heartbeat.  I felt like a million bucks afterwards.  Don’t knock it till you try it!!!

I was explaining to my hand + foot girls what exactly colon therapy was all about.  They needed visuals.  So I obviously googled it.  I found a video.  ONLY watch it if you want a good laugh and have about 20 minutes to spare.  I have NO idea where this chick is from, but here in America, colon therapy looks a littttttle different.  I don’t recommend or condone at home colon therapy at all!  THE VIDEO!!   At 18 minutes she does the unthinkable on camera…LMFAO!!  Enjoy 🙂
