I have to be honest – I haven’t LOVED being in the kitchen lately. It used to be my thang!
A big glass of wine, music playing, cooking away in the kitchen. Kinda my way of winding down at the end of the day. I guess it ebbs and flows? Maybe I’m more of a summery kitchen lover? We’ll see….fingers crossed for my peeps. Ha!
Anyway, I saw TheBuyGuide on instagram do an air fryer salmon the other day. And the finished product looked so damn good. I had to try it out. Obvi putting my spin on it. Tried it out last night. Annndddd…
It was a slam dunk. Super easy. Healthy. Very little mess. And dinner was done from start to finish in 15 minutes. That’s my kind of weeknight dinner.
So, I had to share ASAP! Since this doesn’t happen as often as I’d like for it to. I miss sharing recipes here.

{air fryer bbq salmon}
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 2 lbs salmon, cubed into 1″ chunks
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- salt + pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried dill
- 1/2 lemon, juiced
- 2 tablespoons barbeque sauce (we love bone suckin’ sauce)
Here’s what you do:
In a bowl add cubed salmon. Drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle with salt + pepper + dill and toss.
Add lemon juice + bbq sauce and combine.
Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees for about 5 minutes.
Coat basket with non-stick spray. Add 1/2 of the salmon and separate so they are not touching. Cook at 400 degrees for 4 minutes.
After 4 minutes, give the salmon a good toss, I shake the basket.
Back in the air fryer at 400 degrees for 4 additional minutes.
Continue with remaining salmon.
ENJOY!!!
The salmon will be nice and crispy on the outside and perfectly tender in the center. DROOL!!!
I served our air fryer bbq salmon over rice + steamed broccoli. So, so good. Give it a try!!!
