{weekend notes}

Fair hangovers are real. Anyone else in need of an extra day for sleep and detox? Ha! As always, such a fun Fair weekend. We didn’t make it out there as much as years past and I’m still exhausted!

I know I keep saying it but, just two days left of Summer before the school begins. Savor it friends. Enjoy every second of it. Because once school starts….everything starts. Extra curricular. Sports. Labor Day. Then the Holidays!

Intentions for the Week:

Final Summer party with friends
Hit my bedtime (I’ve become a night owl)
Have the acrylics removed from Bay’s nails (payback is a bitch Kissey)
All the self care the night before school
1 st Day of School
Focus on fit bit + water goals
Attend the Crush Ceremony at Matchbook Winery
Work on a Fall table setting
Celebrate my girl becoming a teenager. The BIG 13!

This week on the blog……Target Tuesday tomorrow. Did you see all the Fall new arrivals from Hearth & Hand? After many requests, I’ll be sharing the White Bean Caprese Salad recipe that I made over the weekend. I actually stole the recipe from my Mom. How about an American Eagle Try-on?

Good Times ladies!

Saturday morning we learned all about the salsa verde served at the Fair taco booth. Peeled a shit-ton of tomatillos and kicked it with some cool chicks at the Parish Hall.

Now to see if we can make it at home as good as they do!

I posted this on Saturday morning with the caption “The only things getting lit around here this weekend are my fall candles” That was kinda false!

Tried this combo for breakfast. I’m not a big yogurt fan, but this combo is legit!

We went to Barrett’s construction party and I didn’t manage to snap a single photo the whole time. Then Bay and I were off for out final Volunteer hour of the weekend at the Fair. These Fair Credentials though..lol. Bay eared 3 hours of community service! Whoop Whoop!

And Cory bought a boat. A fishing boat. We named him, of course. Terry the Tracker. He took all three of us (including Callie) for a maiden voyage on the river. I forgot how much fun boating is.

I remember begging my Dad to let me drive the boat at this age too.

I cheated on BL Lime. Everyone kept telling me these were way better. I’m gonna have to say – they are a hard pass for me. Wayyyy too salty. I’ll stick to the good ol BL Limes for now.
