{friday 5}

Happy Friday!!  Is it just me, or did this week fly by?  I’m not by any means complaining!!  It’s Friday, my fave day of the week and I’m ready for the weekend.  One of my homies (friends since 2nd grade) is coming to Woodlone today and I’m pumped to kick it with her.

ONE – Remember yesterday on my {fall to-do’s}

  • Make 3 outfits that are out of my comfort zone?

I’d say I’ve achieved one of the three!  No, it’s not a onesie. It’s a bodysuit.  Yes, I bought a bodysuit.  Totally out of my comfort zone, but guess what???  It’s so fucking cute.  Scroll down and check out the back of the top.  It’s the most flattering cutout and allows you to still wear a bra without the straps showing.

It’s marked down to $18 today!  And it comes in a wine red color too.  I’ve already wore it once and might pop it on tonight too.  Looks perf with denim and how about a skirt?  shorts?  (I mean it is still like 90 degrees in California)

American Eagle is on fire right now.  So much cute shit.  Check out all the other bodysuit options they offer….OMG!  The long-sleeved lace has my name all over it!!

This isn’t even half of them.  Click here to view them ALL!

TWO – Jack-O-Lantern Stuffed Bell Pepper // I had too.  I had leftover turkey + chicken sausage meat sauce + orange bell peppers sitting in the fridge, so what else would one do?  Busted out the Martha Stewart x-acto knife and started carving away.

Once I had my jack-o-lantern all carved out, I layered:

  • meat sauce
  • chopped baby spinach leaves
  • pesto
  • fresh mozzarella cheese (not the bagged shit)
  • repeat

Baked in the oven at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.  So easy and so festive.  Bailey isn’t a fan of bell peppers?!?!  Crazy, I know!  She dumped the filling out on her plate and ate it without the jack-o-lantern.  I scarfed the whole damn thing in about 2.5 minutes flat.

Speaking of Jack-O-Lanterns….

#idim (I did it myself) how cute is that.  Gotta remember that one.

This Saturday, October 1st

9am – 12pm

Kids 12 and under can decorate a pumpkin to take home!!

OSH will supply the hardware decorations, and of course a free pumpkin.

THREE – Helllpppp.  I can’t for the life of me decide which book to listen to next.  Has anyone read either of these?  I’ve read great review on both, but I only have time for one.

Modern Lovers Emma Straub

The Singles Game Lauren Weisberger

PS…finished Girl With The Lower Back Tattoo this week.  You can read more of my first couple of chapters deep review on {friday 5}.  The book totally turned from super funny to kind of sad.  True to Amy Schumer, it was still raw and real, but not was I was expecting.  I would still recommend reading though.

FOUR – Serendipity Boutique // I was able to speak in for a quick peek at the private viewing last night.  Let’s just say, I want everything!

FullSizeRender (2).jpg

With bubbles in hand I walked back and forth is awe of all the pretties.  Thinking, I want that, and this and how about 2 of this one!  Not to mention the renovation of the store (check out their facebook page for photos). It’s easy on the eyes, that’s for sure.  GORG!!  Everything from candles + wreaths + holiday decor + mirrors + oh and the pig section.  My 10-year-old said she want’s to go back and buy the big chalk board pig for her room 🙂

The price point is on point, which is a HUGE plus too.

Love our little Main Street and new shops opening that make is so easy to shop local.

Due to high demand, the store will be open for a few hours over the next week:

TODAY Friday 12-2
Sunday 4-8 {during Food Truck Mania}
Tuesday 12-2
Wednesday 12-2

Get in  there!  I can’t wait to go back (without my kiddo) so I can take a better peek and I hear they are getting lots of new goodies this week too.
