I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers 
Happy October friends!
You guys, for the first time in my adult life I have a mantel. I could cry 
been dreaming up how I’d deck it out for the season.
Already overthinking what I’ll whip up for Christmas time. Ahhh, it’s gonna be good.
I had this whole mantel + fireplace decorated and photographed for today. Then….
Had a dream.
And you know what happens next. HA! I cannot be the only one that dreams about pumpkins + decor, right?
Anyway, in my dream, my fireplace was full of pumpkins.
So, late last night, I gathered up all the pumpkins in the house and threw them in the fireplace. And I finally got that, ahh hah moment. That is was complete.

Painting the inside of the fireplace. I’ve read all about it and this shit and it’s legit: RustOleum High Heat Tough Protective Paint.
I didn’t realize how nasty it was till I started snapping photos. I will be all ready for Christmas time!
I found this ratan pouf at Ikea, but I believe they are now extinct. I found two very similar options from Amazon.

I’ve always wanted to use the bats, but never really had a place for them. And Cory doesn’t even hate them, which shocked the shit out of me. These string lights I used last Christmas on my tree. They sell out SOOOO quick. If you want some order soon!

There is just something magical AF about string light in the house. I plug them in the second I wake up each morning. The soft glow is everything.
For my coffee table, I used hydrangeas + 2 types of eucalyptus from Trader Joe’s. It cost me $12! This is my go-to flower arrangement for my home year round. I did a cute little DIY last year: {DIY pumpkin centerpiece}
