{new trader joe’s items we’re loving}

On Tuesday’s you can typically find me at Target or Trader Joe’s my two favorite lunch break stops. I know today is Thursday, but it starts with a T too, so let’s just go with it, k?

It’s you’re a TJ’s addict, like myself, then you’ve noticed they released so many NEW products the last couple of weeks. I follow Trader Joe’s List on instagram. You probably should too. She’s a TJ’s junkie too!

We’ve got our weekly items we can’t live without. Along with all the new stuff we love to try out. So, I’ve listed out what we’ve tried. The Weight Watchers points per serving for each item. And if we loved it….or didn’t care for it so much.

Super Lemon Room Spritz (WW points: zero lol) – Not a food item. It’s an room freshener. Made with lemon myrtle and spearmint oils. I actually picked it up today on my TJ’s run. I sprayed it in my office and it smells heavenly!

Strawberry Greek Frozen Yogurt Parfait Bar (WW points: 5) – These are bomb.com! Great ingredients. I even let Bay have them for Breakfast. She thought she was such a rebel eating a popcicle at 8am, but really it’s all the things you’d enjoy in a yogurt parfait.

Riced Cauliflower Stir Fry (WW points: 1 per cup) – If you’ve been watching my Insta stories, then you know I’ve been LOVING this for breakfast. I legit roast it on a baking sheet at 425 degrees for about 10-15 minutes till it get’s nice and browned. Then serve it with an over easy egg on top. BOMB.com

Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans (WW points: 8 points for 1/4 cup) – If you’re a chocolate + coffee lover, this is for you! It’s a match made in heaven. Every time I set them out, they magically disappear. Bay loves them.

Organic Elote Corn Chip Dippers (WW points: 5 points per serving) – These are straight up dangerous. Addicting. You don’t even need to dip them in anything. Try them and you’ll understand.

Pimento Cheese (WW points: 2 per tablespoon) – To be honest, this was my very first time even trying pimento cheese so keep that in mind. Although it’s high point wise, this shit is delish. We took it on a camping trip and dipped ritz crackers. Needless to say it was devoured in minutes.

Pickle Popcorn (WW points: 2 points per cup) – When we first opened the bag, it smelled like we opened a jar of pickles. Kinda overpowering. Smells like pickles. Tastes like pickles. I swear our house smelled like pickles for a week. Even after we threw away the bag. So this one is a hard pass for me. As smells are a game changer.

Chocolate Hummus (WW points: 1 point per tablespoon) – Great way to curb a sweet tooth. We dipped apples and they were just okay. Then I busted out the pretzel thins….and damn gina. The salty and the chocolate were a match made in heaven. I’ve actually made homemade chocolate hummus once. I’ll have to share the recipe.

Ube Ice Cream – Ube [OO-beh] meaning purple yams, I believe. In the Philippines, this is a very popular flavor for sweets. I was intrigued. We opened it up. I took a bite. I was pleasantly surprised. The next day, I found the container in the garbage can. EMPTY! Bay loves this. She requests it every time I ask what she wants/needs from TJ’s.

Sesame Crunch Chopped Salad Kit (WW points: 4 per cup) – 100% not a fan. Not sure if it’s the seaweed flakes or the dressing? There is a weird aftertaste. I took leftovers for lunch and ended up tossing it.

Patio Potato Chips (WW points: 4 for 11 chips) – With four flavors in one bag! Delicious Dill, Ketchup, Sea Salt and Vinegar, and Smokin’ Sweet BBQ. They are different. And we definitely finished the bag. If you’re not a dill fan, then you will not like these. My only complaint, when you open the bag it legit 1/2 full.

Chili Lime Chicken Burgers ( WW points: 3 per burger) – Ah-MAZ-ing! I feel like I’ve been missing out for years. We just tried these for the first time in June. And I’ve bought them about 4 times since. I like them grilled. Over salads. Thrown in a crunch wrap. Lettuce wrapped. If there is one thing I HIGHLY recommend you try your next TJ’s trip – this would be it! They are healthy, quick and easy. Packed with flavor too!

Quinoa Cowboy Veggie Burger (WW points: 5 per burger) – Another burger we really enjoyed. The best frozen veggie burger I’ve ever tried. Another WIN in our house. I served these over the TJ’s Southwest Chopped Salad.

Chili Onion Crunch (WW points: 4 per tablespoon) – Dried onion, dried garlic and dried peppers in a pool of oil. We tried this over brie cheese. It ruined the cheese. It’s sandy gritty. So crunchy. Maybe cooked down with veggies? For me it’s a pass! Save yo money!

Peanut Butter Blondies (WW points: 4 points per piece) – It’s a bite sized blondie bar. Made of peanut butter, strawberry jam and a graham cracker crumble. Beware – you have to take them out of the freezer and let them set before inhaling. Ha! Which is a blessing in disguise. Since you cant just pop them in your mouth each time you open the freezer and see them.

Ketchup Flavored Spud Crunchies (WW points: 5 for 1/4 bag) – If you dig ketchup, you will enjoy these crunchies. We opened the bag. Tried them. Agreed they are good. Then never opened the bag again. To me – that means we didn’t love them and I’ll probably not purchase them again.

Pancake Bread (WW points: 8 for 1/8 of the loaf) – It’s a twist on a buttermilk short stack, baked into a sweet, moist loaf. The loaf itself is so moist. With a cake-like crumb over the top. It makes my mouth water just typing it. Bay loves this as a breakfast option. But, I’ve found and empty loaf pan in her room from time to time at bedtime. It’s absolutely delicious. Get two – they freeze well and it will save you another trip.

Chicken Collard Green Wrap (WW points: 7) – I’m not a fan of collard greens, like at all. I was hungry TJ’s shopping the other day and picked up one of these for lunch. Inhaled it. Kinda messy, but feels like you’re eating something healthy AF!

Organic Carrot Chips (WW points: 5 points for the package) – Not worth the calories, in my opinion. We opened the bag. Tried them out. Agreed that we’d probably never open the bag again. Just nothing really to them.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Lite Ice Cream (WW points: 6 for 1/2 pint) – I am VERRRRY picky when it comes to light or reduced ice creams. I think they almost always taste like crap. Nothing like ice cream. Then get pushed to the back of the freezer where they die a long freezer burn death. Not this one. This one really shocked me. It’s fucking good! And really tastes like ice cream. It comes in Cookies & Cream too, which we will be trying next!

Juice Shots – No Joke Ginger: The title says it all…it’s no joke. It’s spicy and just what you think it would taste like. Mighty Turmeric: (my fave of the two) Just the word turmeric sold me. Turmeric has so many healthy benefits. Google it! They are $1.99 each so not something I’d take daily, but I do pick up a couple here and there.

Sparkling Apple Cider Drinks – Cucumber & Mint and Cranberry & Basil – I was disappointed to see these drinks have added sugar. But they do taste really good. If you’re down with ACV benefits, but not the harsh tasted of plain ACV – try these! I drank 1/2 on day and saved the other half for the next day. The cucumber mint is my fave!

Add some of these goodies to your next TJ’s haul. Let me know what you think! The one store I love as much as Target. And I can talk Trader Joe’s all day long…lol! So many great items in one little store.

Have a happy thirsty Thursday. I will be indulging in some fair keg beers tonight. Cheers!

xoxo stacyb
