Monday! The first Monday of 2019 that I hit the ground running. Literally, well, more like walking…Ha! Me and my morning walking/workout partner have been under the weather, so it was nice to get back at it today. Our weekend was chill AF, and it was much-needed. I heard the word “hygge” (pronounced hue-guh) for the first time and decided to embrace it. Meaning: The Danish word for the sensation of extreme coziness and deep contentment. Lit some candles. Pulled out all our cozy blankets. And straight up kicked it Sunday morning – afternoon. I found this new eucalyptus variety at Trader Joe’s and it added the finishing touch to my coffee table vibe.
Hope you had a great weekend and are ready to kill it this week. And if not, that’s perfectly okay too!
Intentions for the Week…..
- Keep it simple
- Be kind
- Get more sleep
- Know my limits

- Worry less
- Drink more water
- Let shit go
- Meditate
- Say no without any guilt
- Keep making ALL THE THINGS around me pretty AF
This week on the blog…..
New favorite jeans. Yosemite recap. Word for 2019. Bay Bakes snickerdoodle caramel bars. Hoping to work on a DIY eucalyptus wreath too, but it may have to happen next week. We shall see. And I’ll be sharing my daily January Deluttering…you can read more about it here: {let’s kon marie}
Friday //
Bay picked out her new 4-H Spring Show pig(s).
Meet Timothy…he’s pretty sweet and Bay already fell in love with him.
And Archie. Named after her crush from the show Riverdale, which I think is the cutest thing ever.
And the fun begins……for the next 111 days!
Everett came out to see the pigs with us too.
We passed baptism class 🤘🏻// Daniels future godmothers 🙏🏻👯♀️
Then had a few beverages to celebrate at Preserve afterwards. We may not know the 10 commandments in order, but at least we know Daniel has some fun godmothers ♥
Breakfast date//
Sometimes you have to sneak in a date at 8am. Whatever works, right?
And we spent a lot of time at the pig barn. Brenda is such a babe. That snout is on point!
Coffee table vibes //
Hard to see it, but I have this gorgeous bunch on eucalyptus on top of my Ansel Adams book. With a Magnolia candle + pretty matches that I was gifted from Karen of Serendipity Boutique. I wish you could smell it. The candle is sitting on a marble soap dish I picked up at Target the other day. Fits candles perfectly. Loving a new fresh + clean coffee table.

Driving Miss Daisy…lol. She’s actually really good.
When’s the last time you went to Chicago Cafe? I hadn’t been in years. For a simple breakfast with NO crowds, this is the place to be on the weekends!
Serendipity Boutique helper. While I snapped photos, Bay helped Karen work on a fun project.
The new window display. The dough bowl. The branches. Love is in the air. Stop by and check it out….So, so cute!
Bay saved up for the Morphe Jaclyn Hill Eyeshadow Palette and it’s safe to say, she’s in love.
Bella Moda Boutique now has a baby section. I picked up these Newcastle swaddle blankets for gifts. They are adorable and so soft.
Callie hogging the fire. She could sit there and stare at the flames all night.
Cory cooks Sunday dinner. You guys, he’s been on a streak. He’s been cooking every Sunday since summertime…and I’m not mad about it.
I mentioned to sarah.truitt.home that I was looking for a large tobacco basket. And she found me one. For $28! Bad ass! It’s huge and just what I was looking for to go in my parents bedroom. Thanks homegirl! Go follow her on instagram for home inspo!
And that’s all I got! Have a great week and see you back here tomorrow!
