Good morning and welcome to Monday’s Weekend Notes! I woke up with a healthy dose of panic this morning. My to-do list for the week is at an all time high in preparation for the long weekend. Today I’m taking the advice I give Bay…..take it one step at a time and start with the most difficult item first. Monday is always a bit of a beast, but Friday will be here before we know it and it will all be worth it! Here’s to a productive day. Hope you’re off to a great start! Be a rebel and have a great day!
BALL PARK FRIDAY //
Love watching my nephews play ball. Friday was Joe’s last game of the season.
BAY THE BAKER //
Bailey was recruited to make the cake for Spencer’s Baptism Saturday. She said YESSS, before she even knew what the baking task would be.
The naked carrot cake is back and more beautiful than ever. I even invested in some new Wilton 8 inch pans. Which made baking a breeze.
I have become a professional taste tester…lol.
BAPTISM //
Baby Spencer was baptized over the weekend. We were so happy to be a part of the special day. Even though I got lost on my way to the church. Ha. Only me. How do you get lost in Winters? The after party was a good one, as always.
Bay + Spencer ♥
VELOCITY PARK //
Joe celebrated his 9th birthday at Velocity Park. The Aqua Park is up and running. If you want to wear your kids out…take them here. It works. The margaritas work too…yikes!
IMPATIENS SEASON //
Is the best season. $2.22 for a 6-pack at walmart right now. They are healthy and beautiful too. I spruced up my front porch pots with these beauties. I can’t wait to get them planted all over my backyard next.
WATCHING //
Hidden Figures. Have you seen it yet? It’s been on my list to watch for far to long, so I hit redbox on my way home Friday to pick up a copy.
Three brilliant African-American women at NASA – Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson – served as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit, a stunning achievement that restored the nation’s confidence, turned around the Space Race, and galvanized the world. Based on a true story.
I loved every second of this movie. So good.
Billboard Music Awards. Luda must have been beat after his show in Woodland then hosting the music awards the very next day. What a pimp! But, really, how about Celine Dion? Did you catch her “My Heart Will Go On” performance? Her voice! Her dress! Everything about her was on point! Drake even admitted that he want’s her face tattooed on his ribcage!
Hooked //
You guys, I’m embarrassed to admit how long I played with Bay’s fidget spinner over the weekend. Every time I found it lying around, I picked it up. It’s addicting. I noticed myself spinning that little fucker as I talked on the phone, watched TV, picked up the house…pretty much every chance I had a free hand.
Ok friends, I’ve got to get moving and make shit happen.
xoxo stacyb
Thank you Bay and Stac for the amazing cake. Everyone loved it.
I’m happy you liked it after the car ride. Damn cake had me stressed out!
