Hoping your first days of 2017 are good ones and sending you wishes for a very happy and healthy New Year!

2017 has officially arrived peeps!!  We had a great time celebrating the new year in Tahoe!  Cold Tahoe.

This year has just begun and I can already check something off my bucket list.  Drive around Lake Tahoe.  I talk about it every time I visit the Cabin.  Annnddd, then I never do it.

Rum runners in the snow.  I think I like them better in the sand though.  It was cold AF.  The kids had a snow fight.  I got a fun video in slow-mo here.

Now that I look at it, kinda seems more like a pub crawl.  With kids…lol!!  Maybe that’s why I enjoyed it so much.  Can’t wait to do it again in the Summertime.

This weda learned how to make tamales.  Yes.  Tamales!  Just like all the other amazing things I’ve learned to make this year, I have a lot more respect for these little fuckers.  They are beyond time-consuming.  And take 30 seconds to devour.  Tio did most of the work.  I was a masa spreader.  Olive laying.  Chile seed separator.  Corn husk roller.

Do you know how many types of chiles are in the pork tamales?  THREE!  The green chile tamales are my favorite.  And I blame them on my weight gain.  I hear 1 pound per tamale?  Please tell me that’s an old wives tale?

Bailey B + Hey Joe took snowboard lessons at Sierra-At-Tahoe.

Check out Wild Mountain.  It’s up the hill a little ways.  A kids only ski + snowboard camp.

I told Bay that I had a crush on her instructor.  She was NOT impressed with my comment 🙂

After spending the morning at camp, their instructor took them to the main lifts.  It ended up just being the two of them.

And this is what I did at the Sierra lodge….

Kissey rocked some circa 1985 snow boots she found in the Cabin closet.  She got some crazy ass looks….lol!

They claim this is going to be their new New Year’s tradition.  I told them they better start asking for Sierra gift cards for Christmas…lol.

We spent some time with friends…..

Lunch turned all day at the Blickle’s.  Thanks for the fun day Sara!!  We really need to do it more often.

And that’s a wrap on Holidays.  Long weekends off work.  Tamale eating.
