HAPPY FRIDAY and HAPPY WEEKEND!
Friday 5 is live…..
ONE – Since I’m not hosting Thanksgiving this year, I got all Christmasy and shit. Holiday whore is in full swing. My lights are up on the house. With a help from Bay and my Mom. Taking turns holding the ladder so I didn’t die and handing me rain gutter clips. We are cutting out tree down this weekend! Yesss, you heard me right. Long story, but if it doesn’t happen this weekend, then it wont happen at all. Which clearly isn’t an option! Saturday afternoon our halls will be officially decked the fuck out! I can’t wait! Since we are in the Christmas spitit, Bailey made her Christmas list. Including a column for “what store” to help a mama out. She totally get’s it from me. I just email my Mom links with sizes and colors attached…lol.
TWO – Mannequin Challenge // Anyone else totally obsessed with the new craze? I’m dying to do one. I’m thinking once Alex has the baby. Her nursing at the dinner table while we are all cheersing and pretending like she isn’t? Haha. If you haven’t watched them, you HAVE too. I’ve linked 4 of the popular ones below!
Blac Chyna + Rob Kardashian in the delivery room
Michelle Obama and the Cleveland Cavaliers
Giada DeLaurentiis family dinner
THREE – Another American Eagle top // You guys, I’m hooked! I can’t stop shopping American Eagle. Their tops are too legit to quit! This one here, The AEO Soft & Sexy Strappy Front T-Shirt in tie-dye blue. I’m so in love. I rocked it with a black leather jacket. Under a navy cardigan. And if it wasn’t cold AF, I’d be wearing it right now with nothing over it!! Want to know what makes it even better? The price tag! Check it out! Do size down, as it run pretty large. I bought a small.

FOUR – Hawaiian Grilled Chicken // last week I posted this photo on Insta + FB. I got lots of requests for the recipe. I swear I posted it on the blog before, but since I’m too lazy to find it – here ya go 🙂
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 3 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs (trimmed)
- 1 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 bunch green onions, chopped (save the rest for garnish)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 can coconut milk
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions:
In a large bowl (with a lid) Mix soy sauce + water + brown sugar + green onions + garlic + sesame oil + coconut milk. Add chicken and allow to marinade over night.
Grill chicken over medium heat about 7 minutes per side. Or until cooked through.
Serve over your favorite rice. I love jasmine rice, but Bailey really wanted Rice-A-Roni rice pilaf this time. Bailey made the green beans: fresh green beans steamed. Then sautéed with garlic + red onion + olive oil, with a splash of soy sauce. Sooo good!
