{fair isle + smoothie talk}

The Holidays just scream fair isle to me.  Can you beleive I don’t own one piece?  J.Crew hit it out of the park with their collection this year.  Check it out here.  I think this may have given me the fair isle itch.

So…I did what any girl would do.  Went shopping!  To my surprise, it’s rather hard to find anything, especially fair isle pieces after the Holidays.  I mean the stores are sad and pathetic looking.  Wiped out.  Nothing at all.  Which also means, spring is coming out SOON.

I snagged the only two I could find.  I’m too indecisive, sometimes I need to buy and go home and then decide:)

Smoothie talk

Kaia girls – help a sister out.  I need to get my smoothie game tight.  I tried the cucumber kale delight (that rhymes..haha) and it was just tolerable.  Bailey gagged….and said she felt really bad for me.  I drank it, but really didn’t enjoy it.  I’m sure I’m just doing it all wrong.   What’s your favorite Kaia Smoothie recipe?  Tricks?  Do you make the whole recipe and save the second serving?  Or make 1/2 of the recipe?  HELLLPPPP!

ps – I got Melika, Kaia Owner + Coach to agree to a day in the life post.  She said, “No one wants to know what I do, eat + drink all day”  My response “I do”…haha.  Who doesn’t want to see what the girl that started this all for us, is up to on her regular day-to-day?  Coming soon!!

  1. As a former KAIA girl…my favorite is the Spring Splash Smoothie from a few years ago…
    1 cup almond milk
    1 cup frozen berries
    2 stalks celery
    2 cups spinach
    2 walnuts
1 scoop plant based protein (Vega One French Vanilla)

  2. I make up my own most days:
1/2 banana (I slice and freeze my bananas on a cookie sheet and then bag them up)
    1/2 cup almond milk
1 scoop protein powder (I’m obsessed with the vanilla vega)
1 cup spinach (or a handful- I also have this in my freezer)
    3/4 cup frozen blueberries
    1 cup ice
    1/2 cup water

and then I add another frozen fruit (pineapple, mango, peach, blackberries…this is what I switch up)

sometimes (like during detox week) I remove the banana
sometimes I add chia seeds or flax

But this is pretty much my standard

  3. I sort of copy Nuggets Triple G at home… Pineapple, frozen banana, spinach, kale, and I add vanilla vega and water to smooth it out.
