December 10th. 15 days till Christmas. Monday. Three things I’m just not down with today. I must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. Kinda in panic mode today trying to make all my list of “shit to do” by the end of the week. Speaking of Monday, its Green Monday? Is this a real thing? I had never heard the term before today. I guess it’s the last day to get regular/free shipping for online shopping. One more thing to add to my “oh shit list” ha!
Oh and have you seen the meme that’s going around today? The one about today being a special day, one that only happens once every 1,000 years. Your age + the year you were born = 2018. It works for everybody. How? I’m so stumped!
We had a nice relaxing weekend. We slept in both Saturday + Sunday mornings. Even cleaned the house, which I never do on the weekends. Sat on the couch Saturday evening and couldn’t remember the last time we were home without anyplace to be on a Saturday evening. I was very into it.
Intentions for the Week:
- tackle Christmas shopping….I’m wayyy behind
- dinner + drinks with my favorite Salinas homegirl ♥
- lots of water. Why is it so hard?
- fab 40’s + ricks dessert diner tradition
- make my {asian turkey + green beans}
- diy blanket ladder
- celebrate Daniels baptism
- help Bay get ready for the 7th grade formal
- wrap gifts
- style my new gold bells
- plan SF weekend
- favorite things brunch
- remember to count my blessings
Highlights from the weekend……
Tree Lighting //
We made it to the Downtown Woodland Tree Lighting. Right after the tree was lit…lol. It’s so cool to see how much this event has grown over the years. About 10 years ago, hardly anyone went. And they didn’t have all the extras, like bubble snow + Santa either.
Coffee table vibes //
I have switched it up just about every single day this month.
Reindeer Candle Holder $9: Walmart // White Emma Pitcher $24: Pottery Barn // Sunday Suppers Cookbook $24: Amazon // Candle Wick Trimmer $5: Amazon // Mercury Glass Dish: Serendipity Boutique // Marble Knox Coffee Table $125: World Market
Christmas Parade //
Bay walked in the parade, I went home and watched TV…lol. It was too cold. Also, I think it’s the first year I’ve miss the parade.
Winter Formal //
Bay found a new dress for the dance. It was $25, so I was down with it. Nordstrom offers free alterations if you have a Nordy’s card. Worth it. Hands down, best customer service!
Lunch Date //
Bay got a life lesson while sitting at Chando’s Tacos on Garden Hwy….
This is your brain on drugs! Bomb ass tacos. Terrible location!
American Eagle Try-On //
So many great pieces + so many great deals!
FLORAL BORDER PRINTED MIDI KIMONO $17
Raw Edge Waffle Henley $12 // GREAT layering tank. I love the raw edge. And it comes in 4 color options.
Ribbed Boyfriend Cardigan $34 // this cardigan feels like a cozy blanket. It’s so good….and that price tag is pretty good too!
Ruffle Shell Top $20 // Great layering top with pretty details.
Plush Jegging Camo Crew $20 // Super soft everyday top. It’s been all over the internet!
Striped Jegging Pullover $23 // love this grey + yellow combo.
Long Sleeve Embroidered Top Originally $49….now $29! // Embroidered details for extra girl power.
Long Sleeve Layering T-Shirt under $10 // This Tee has a simple silhouette. Great for layering or wearing on its own. I kinda want the yellow one too!
Fair Isle Pullover Sweater $37 // Great price for this sweater. This photo doesn’t do it justice. I’m really diggin the charcoal color option.
Chunky Cable Knit Pullover $44 // Comes in ivory + a powder blue option. This is a classic sweater that you’ll have FOREVER!
Here are all my TOP picks from the American Eagle sale…….
Bay updated our letter board for Christmas. I asked her to come up with something cute….and she was done in about 25 seconds…lol. It’ll do 🙂
This View //
Never gets old. I sit here and sip my coffee every single morning. But, on 12/26 all this shit will be gone. Without a trace of Christmas…ha! Anyone else get crazy like me?
Bubbles //
Chandon’s new bottle is so on point.
Born to be Bubbly
Made to Sparkle
We popped this open for Baklava making day.
Baklava //
This is the 3rd year I’ve made baklava with the Corbett girls. Such a fun tradition. Now if only I can NOT eat the whole dish of baklava, that would probably be a good idea.
Those layers though……
Garland //
Dropped off Alex’s garland last night. LOVE how it turned out. I love the texture + scent the eucalyptus adds to the fresh garland. She picked up these silver reindeer to add to the table….super cute!
Bumping into homies at Steve’s Pizza on a Sunday night. It was nice catching up Korine + Kelly!!
Giveaway //
I announced the garland giveaway winner Saturday. BIG thank you to everyone for commenting + liking + sharing. I LOVED reading all the different Christmas Traditions.
Hope you all had a great weekend. Now let’s get this week started…..
