{date night + day ideas}

Date nights or day dates don’t have to be fancy.  Just something fun.  Whether it’s a couple of hours mid-day, a night out, maybe even a weekend away.  At the end of the day it’s just spending time together.

That was so lame, I can’t believe I just typed it…lol.

In case you’re all out of ideas and looking for something new, I hope you’ll find one or two on this list of downright cheesy ideas  🙂 Ha!

Take a hike!  Perfect time to get some steps + catch up.

Then hit a local brewery.  You’ll be thirsty!

Full Belly Farm Pizza Night.  BYOB!

Music shopping.  Always excited to add some new records to the collection.

Get all dressed up and go to a fancy restaurant – the kind you have to make ressies for at least a week in advance because it’s that good.

Pick a challenging recipe and attempt it together.  Dying to try homemade paella.

Check out a rodeo.  I hadn’t been to one in years.  We’ve decided to make the Potter Valley Rodeo a tradition.

Kayak.  Find a lake or creek that has rentals.  Pack a lunch + wine and hit the water!

Go fishing.  Not going to lie, it’s not my personal fave thing to do, but Cory LOVES fishing.  And I’m really good at sitting by bodies of water.  So relaxing.  And exciting when you get a bite!

Join a wine club nearby.  Wineries are always hosting fun events.  And they have WINE!

Snowshoeing.  Way more fun than you think.  Basically the ONLY snow sport I’m down with.

Find a hot springs and spend the day kickin it.

Redbox + homemade pizza.  One of my favorite Friday night dates ♥

Listen to a band.  Preferably at a bar.  You might even get up and dance…after a drink or two.

Farmer’s Market.  And plan a meal around all your finds.

Take your Tommy Bahama chairs to the beach and watch the waves

Check out a new restaurant you’ve been wanting to try.

Grab lunch on the coast

Hit the road with no plans.  No reservations.

Catch dinner!  Then host a mini crab feed!

Explore a new part of the city.  We recently walked under the Golden Gate Bridge and spent the day there.  One I’ll never forget.

Find a swing.  Preferably with a really sweet view.  It’s impossible not to smile.

Score sweet seats to a sporting event.

Go to the movies.  And sneak in booze.

Visit an art museum.  I’m dying to check out Bruce Nauman: Blue and Yellow Corridor

Binge watch a new netflix series.

Take a drive down country roads at sunset.

Couples massage are always a good idea.

Find a cool bike trail.  We tried the CCT in Half Moon Bay…highly recommend!

Double date!  Happy hour with another couple is always fun!

Pick a destination you’ve never been and plan out all your stops together.  We recently went to Portland and had the best time exploring all over Oregon.  Portland Travelogue coming soon!
