Mom’s Famous Thai Pasta Salad // I’ve share this gem before, but it’s not the easiest to find on my website. I made a double batch last night. Posted a photo of the ingredients and asked if anyone could guess what I was making. Everyone guessed correctly. Then I has a bunch of DM’s asking to share the recipe as well. So, just for good measure I’ll share it again. Because, it’s a keeper. A crowd pleaser. Now when you search “mom’s famous thai pasta salad” the recipe will appear rather than scrolling and clicking though any and every post I’ve ever mentioned it. And the photo looks so much better than the original post…lol. I have vowed to update old blog photos as I remake the recipes.
Anyway, make this! Share the recipe. Everyone will love it. My Mom only makes the best 🙂
mom's famous thai pasta salad
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1 package angel hair pasta (1lb)
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- ¼ cup corn oil
- ½ cup sesame oil
- 6 tablespoons honey (seka hills preferably)
- 5 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup cilantro, chopped
- ¾ cup peanuts, chopped
- ½ cup green onions, chopped
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
Directions:
Cook noodles according to package, drain.
In a sauce pan, stir in red pepper flakes, corn oil & sesame oil over medium heat for 2 minutes.
Add honey, soy sauce and salt. Allow to cook for about 3 minutes. Whisking so the sauce doesn’t burn.
Mix well with noodles.
Cover and refrigerate for several hours. (I make mine the night before)
When ready to serve, add chopped cilantro, peanuts, green onion to noodles.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve.
