{friday 5}

Hello Friends and Happy Friday!  Typing Happy Friday never get’s old.  So ready for the weekend.  We’ve got so much good shit planned.  Museum of Ice Cream.  Bay get’s her 4-H pig.  A little shopping.  Lots of relaxing.  Friend time.  Pumped!

First, I’ve got 5 things on my mind…..

ONE – Philz Coffee // Finally a Philz in my hood.  This place makes me think of my homegirl Zeb in San Diego.  She turned me onto Philz last year when I was visiting.  The coffee is delish and I love how unique the flavors are.  Today I grabbed a Tesora: medium blend with caramel, butter + nut aromas.  Yumm!

TWO – Rosewater // Get yourself some!  I’m hooked.  Just ordered a second bottle to keep at my desk.  It’s a refreshing + hydrating mist.  It’s like a little pick-me-up!  You spray it on your face, neck, hairs…anywhere.  It smells amaze.  I’ve read lots of peeps use it to set their makeup too.  Even Bay requests a spritz in the morning before school.

Revitalize skin with dewy radiance. Whether spritzed for a hydrating boost or mid-day pick-me-up, our cult-favorite facial spray helps revive dehydrated skin anytime, anywhere. It’s a rejuvenating mist infused with herbal and botanical extracts (like Aloe Vera, Gardenia, Rose, Bladderwrack and Thyme) that help soothe and re-energize skin—giving it a healthy, radiant glow.

#MBSKINTIP:To give your makeup a dewy finish, spritz your favorite brush or sponge before blending in foundation or concealer. Once you’re done, mist your face as a final step to add radiance. For an extra refreshing and cooling boost, store the bottle in your refrigerator.

It’s $7 at Nordy’s.  And you will thank me once you try it 🙂

THREE – Lunchin // Whenever I do a sugar cleanse I crave the weirdest combos.  Other than the Butternut Squash Soup, this has been my jam this week.  I have a hard time waiting for lunch, because I can’t stop thinking about it.  Ha.  The little things while dieting.  Slow cooker salsa chicken.  Just homemade tomatillo salsa + chicken.  Cook on low for 6 hours.  Shred and pop in the fridge for salads + tacos.  I’ll share the salsa recipe next week.  So good.  And so fresh.  Sliced english cuc.  Chickpeas.  And a tablespoon of Tressemae’s Creamy Ranch.  Sugar free, of course.  This combo makes me extremely happy.  What’s in your lunchbox?  I love new ideas.  Especially weird combos 🙂

FOUR – Price Adjustments //  It never fails that after I make an online purchase, the very next day there is a promo or the shit is on sale.  I ALWAYS, ALWAYS call for a price adjustment.  Do it.  I’d say 90% of the time, they give me the difference back.  Today for example, I got a 25% off promo code email.  Yesterday I placed my order.  Called the customer service, gave them my order number, the promo code.   Less than five minutes later I got this email.  They credited my card $31.03.  It took less than 5 minutes.  And I feel like I got the deal of the damn day.  Ha.  Anyway, just a little online shopping tip for ya!
