Lent is over in less than 48 hours peeps.  You know what that means right?  I will be reunited with my long lost best friend, Wine.  It’s been a looonnnnggg 40 days.  I may just drink it straight from the bottle.  Chardonnay is what I will be enjoying.  It’s been on my mind none stop…lol.  Now the big question?  What kind of chardonnay should I get??  I’m thinking that this is a celebration worthy of Rombauer.  What did you give up for lent?  Will you be indulging in what you gave up?  Or did you give it up for good?  Bailey and I will be cheersing with flavored water and chard, that’s just a given 🙂

Friday on xoxostacyb means one thing – 5 things on my mind…..

ONE Easter Brunch // Cory + I are hosting Easter brunch again this year.  Just our closest family.  I pulled out my parents wedding China.  Annnndddd did you take a peak at that gold flatware.  Thanks to my mama’s bestie Ronda 🙂  I mean, It’s so gorg I cant contain myself.  Rich heavy gold.  A table setting girls dream come true, really.   I found these bunny ear napkin holders in the $1 bin at Target.  Super bummed I could only find 1 package of 4.  You know Bailey is our house napkin folder so she decided she would try out the bunny fold from last years brunch.  Check it our here…..Super cute.

Our menu:

Honey Glazed Ham

Cheesy Potatoes

Spinach Orzo Salad

Mixed Fruit

Croissants + Berry Butter

TWO –  TJ’s Almond Mozzarella Cheese // It’s BOMB.com y’all.  Unfortunately it’s not dairy-free.  What the fuck Trader Joe’s?  I was shocked.  Luckily I’m not Vegan….haha.  This almond based  cheese has only 50 calories per 1/4 cup.  Amazing, right?  It melts like a charm and has a creamy delicious texture.  If you’re a cheese girl, like myself, then definitely add this to your Trader Joe’s list.  I’ll be sharing my TJ’s must-have list next week, so stay tuned.

Ingredients

Almond base (filtered water, crushed organic almonds), casein (milk protein), expeller pressed canola oil, modified potato starch, natural parmesan cheese flavor (parmesan cheese [pasteurized milk, cheese cultures, salt, enzyme], water, salt, xanthan gum), vegetable glycerin, sodium phosphate, sea salt, citric acid, psyllium husk (a plant fiber), calcium phosphate.

THREE – I planted flowers this week.  My favorite impatiens.  They grow wild along the fence line in our backyard, due to the partial shade.  I’ve been planting these pretties yearly for as long as I can remember.  I found these 6-packs at Wally World for $1.97 each.  That’s a damn good deal.  Link (our rabbit) we quite the helper.  He ran around in circles.  Rolled in the fresh dirt.  Tried to drink my beer.  Sat on my foot.  Jumped into the tray of flowers.  It was hilarious.  Everyone is shocked that I can have flowers and a garden in our backyard with a free range rabbit.  For some reason, he’s never touched a plant.  This year may be different though…he was really interested in them.  Little bastard better back up off my impatiens.  I posted the cutest video on Snapchat.  Do you snap?  Find me.  Let’s be snap friends.

FOUR – I feel like I haven’t chatted about Kaia in a long time.  I’m still gettin it.  Earth, Wind + Kaia CORE session began this Monday.  Which also means a whole new challenge.  Remember how much I love a good challenge?  Well, Wednesday kicked my ass…………BIG TIME.  K.O.T. Challenge is the toughest yet.  We’ll chat more about this next week.  I’ll post my week #1 results and my personal goals that I plan to achieve in the next 5 weeks.   It’s not too late to sign up for this CORE session.  Click here for more details + registration.  I’d love a 5am workout buddy, just sayin 🙂

FIVE – Flower Crown DIY

someone told me there’s a girl out there with love in her eyes and flowers in her hair

….god I love that song.

I have my babies breath on order at Dixon Florist + floral wire purchase + floral tape on hand. Hoping and praying these DIY’s I found on Pinterest will be a breeze.  I’m practicing this weekend in preparation for Stover’s wedding.  Bailey doesn’t know yet that she will be the girl with love in her eyes and flowers in her hair at Easter:)  If I can pull it off, I will be making these in Seattle for the two lovely little flower girls.  Holla at this girl if you’ve made one before or have any tips for my rookie ass.
