Welcome to another week of Friday Favorites. A random list of things that caught my eye and things I’m really diggin at the moment!

I’m dying at the responses to my Instagram Stories: #1 gas station snack. Happy to hear from all my fellow gas station junkies:) My top snack is always Rolled Gold Pretzels. Cheez-it’s are a close second. And I frequent mostly for White Monsters…shhh! Don’t tell anyone. The 76 station guys are my homies.

Question: can we reconsider what we gave up for lent? Is there some kind of rule that we can’t?

This year I wanted to not only give something up, but also add something. Something that would at the end of 40 days make me feel good. So, I gave up alcohol. And decided to add 30 minutes of exercise per day. That’s 7 days a week. Bailey gave up Tik Tok. Which is HUGE. She’s straight up addicted. And also decided to add exercise daily!

At a Faith Formation parent workshop this week, it was brought to out attention that Sunday’s are a “day of rest” meaning they don’t count. If you add up the days between Ash Wednesday and Good Friday, you’ll get: 45 days. Lent is technically 40 days. Sunday’s don’t count friends! Ha! I’ve never taken Sunday’s off in years past, so we shall see!

Today though, I think I may change my NO alcohol to NO beer + wine? I’m such a cheater. But, Mama needs a marg. A skinny marg. Cory too, gave up beer + wine! We’re not a big cocktail drinkers. I’m a one and done. You give me wine – and I’m gonna finish that bottle. Ha!

Enough about that though…..let’s chat cute dresses!

Speaking of Trader Joe’s – they have $4.99 bunches of ranunculus right now. RUNNNN!

Trader Joe’s Item of the week: Limone Alfredo Sauce. It’s not overly lemony. Just right. I did add lots of salt + pepper! I tossed it with TJ’s gluten free fettuccine noodles + baked salmon. Quick + easy + so yum!

The appetizer I shared this morning in my Instagram stories is a classic. So many requests for the recipe. There really isn’t a recipe. It’s salami with a smear of cream cheese topped with a peperoncino. Then I fold them in half and use a toothpick to hold together. Try it, they are simply delish!
