Raise your hand 🙋🏼♀️ if you’re ready for some sunshine + springtime too☀️
Going over 5 basics your closet needs for the new season.
My forever go-to combo: White + denim + done! Ha! It’s a classic. All of these pieces I’m sharing today are closest staples. They can be worn so many different ways. Add a blazer. Knot the front of the button-up. Add bold statement jewelry. A colorful clutch. And you’ve got yourself a killer outfit. EVERY.SINGLE.TIME!
White Button-Up //
Never underestimate the power of a crisp white shirt. It’s a straight up classic. Great for layering. Front tucking. Front knotting. Paired with jeans + shorts + skirts – you frickin name it! I found that Abercrombie, by far, has the best classic white shirts. They last wash after wash and keep their shape. This one I’m wearing today is marked down to $18: Long-Sleeve Utility Shirt! But, I’ve linked some other great options below too!
Levis //
With so many name brad jeans out there, I find myself grabbing for my Levi’s the very most. The style. Cut. Wash. Fit. It just can’t be beat. And they make that booty look extra good…just saying! I recently bought these Wedgie Straight Leg Crop Jeans on major sale at Nordy’s. They are true to size. It took me a bit to get used to the wider leg, but they’re fun and different for all my other Levis. I also picked up these Levi’s 501 Skinny Jeans at Free People Denim in “cant touch this” and they are so, so good. Get yourself a pair. You’ll thank me later…promise!
Nude Heels //
There is just something about slipping on a good (comfy) pair of heels. I love them with jeans! It’s my go-to “dressy” look when wearing jeans + a cute top. I instantly feel so much more pulled together. I found these Sam Edelman Odila Ankle Strap Sandal for $35 at Nordstrom Rack. It’s your lucky day. I found them for $50! That’s 50% off. They have a 3″ heel height, which is HIGH AF for me. The comfort level is where it’s at. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to rock these. I wore them the other day, about all day, and never felt like I needed to take them off! And nude heels go with absolutely EVERYTHING!
Hats //
I may be considered a hat snob. To keep it real – I’ve probably purchased and returned about 10-15 hats. Come to find out, I have a big ol dome. Which makes hats a little more tricky. Peeps with small heads feel my pain too! I live in a Brixton Straw Hat for summer time. The rest of the year, I’ve literally only wore this one hat: UO Flat Brim Felt Fedora Hat. It’s an almost identical hat to the Lack of Color, which I’ve linked below. Except it’s under $50! Adjustable. And comes in a shit-ton of color options! This is the “it” hat, in my opinion! Just like a nude pair of heels, a neutral color hat is also a piece that goes with everything. Makes any outfit a little more polished!
Simple Jewelry //
I’m a sucker for everyday + simple + lightweight jewels. You know – the jewelry that you never want to take off. To be honest, these pieces I’ve linked below, they basically live on my body. I take my Coin Disc Necklace off to shower, then it goes right back on! My most favorite jewelry item at the moment would have to be these $13: Huggie Cuff Earrings. I put them on the day they arrived and haven’t changed them since. And the best part about these simple + everyday pieces, you can layer on more + more when you want to dress up.

Happy Thirsty Thursday Friends! I wish I was enjoying a big ass glass of chardonnay tonight. I start my last week of the Kaia Fist 30-day Jumpstart Program next week. And I’ve got my eye on the prize, so no booze on weeknights. I’ll have a La Croix in my wine glass though…lol! Cheers!!!
