Happy President’s Day…..coming from the only person on earth that is working today. Lol! According to Instagram story polls, there are about 4 of us total. I cant bitch too much, since I did take Friday off for a long weekend in Tahoe. Cold very cold and snowy Tahoe. Hope your Monday is off to a great start. It’s going to be a good week! I can just feel it!

- watch Bay horseback ride
- celebrate 2 girlfriends birthdays
- play around with some new photo editing apps
- hit 10,000 steps per day
- make a new sheet pan dinner
- work in my tiny garden/flowerbed
- share some new items I’ve picked up and love

Highlights from the weekend….
Thursday evening we ventured over the hill and through the snow to South Lake Tahoe.
With a pit stop at Strawberry Lodge, as always.
Strawberry got a little snow…..
This is outside the bar window.
Friday morning we woke up to a lot more snow.
Cory + Bay left bright and early all suited up to hit Sierra At Tahoe for snowboarding. While I facetimed them from the warm cabin. Come to find out the white-out conditions left all the ski lifts CLOSED.
This is the street in front of our cabin. Just to reference how much snow was actually on the ground and coming down. It was relentless. Really never stopped from Thursday till Sunday.
Hwy 50 closed off and on throughout the day….leaving our friends unable to join us for the weekend.
Brother’s Bar cleared just enough to make your way into the bar…lol.
Pope Beach entrance wasn’t very inviting.
Lake Tahoe Pizza Co. is another stop we make religiously.
The Mogul Masher + a liter of cheap ass house red wine and I’m the happiest bitch in Tahoe.
We played lots of 31.
Breakfast view isn’t too bad. I made lots of avocado toast over the weekend. My fave!
Rum Runner views aren’t half bad either. All the snow is where I’ll be laying out in the sun in about 4 months or so. Crazy!!!
Cory + I took Bay to our favorite snowshoeing spot.
And the verdict…..
She LOVED it too. And we’re already talking about next time!

The trail goes along the lakeside with views like this.
Crazy happy Bay likes to go on these adventures with us still. And actually have fun too!
Where the snow meet the lake…..
Cory was plotting to attack us with snowballs at this point. He succeeded.
And we even managed to get a photo

And I’m once again in my Abercrombie Sherpa…best $60 I spent in a long time.
We rent all out snowshoeing gear from Mtn Mikes Lake Tahoe. They’ve got it all and it’s very reasonably priced. I highly recommend this place for all rentals.
We made it down to the casino’s for a hot one. Just long enough to blow $20 at the arcade and get a couple $10 beers.
Our goal was to compete in the Beacon Bar snowshoe races, but they got cancelled due to weather. This is where they set it up below. Hopefully we can do it next time.
We hit the road early Sunday and this was my view out the window.
We made it home in time for pig walking.
Before I let you go….I found some really great items on sale today for Presidents days. SO good, that you need to take advantage. I know I did 🙂
And that’s all I got friends. Hope you had a nice, not-so-cold weekend. And here’s to the sun shining today. Hope Mother Nature let’s it hang out for a while.
