….because it’s FRIDAY! And I said so!
ONE – I have a major crush on World Market’s Retro Cooler. And it’s aqua. It fits 18 can or 12 bottles. I want to plan a farmers market day or a picnic and go scoop this bad boy up. I can just see it laying on my picnic blanket full of rosé 🙂 Maybe a couple of snacks too, if there’s any room left.

It comes is red too. Did you spy that built-in bottle opener? Yesss!
TWO – Bailey is on a Blueberry Muffin kick. I’m talking, everyday. It’s her breakfast of choice. But, not just any old blueberry muffin. Of course, she prefers the Starbucks version. Aint nobody got time for that every morning. So, I hit Pinterest. And I found a pretty simple substitute. Best part – She totally loves my cheap + easy version.
Fist pick up the Betty Crocker Blueberry Muffin Mix pouch at your grocery store. It’s a whoppin’ $1.00. Prepare as instructed on the package. Then…..
You make the topping. It’s all about the streusel, let me tell you. And it’s sooooo simple. All pantry items you already have. So you get 6 muffins for basically $1.00. My girl is a happy girl 🙂
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons cold butter or margarine
In medium bowl, stir flour + brown sugar + cinnamon until mixed. Cut in butter, using a fork, until mixture is crumbly. Top muffins with streusel topping. Bake as directed.
I make a batch every Monday morning and it takes me about 5 minutes + baking time.
THREE – My Mama // Last night she was honored by the Woodland Joint Unified School District for her 39 years of service. THIRTY NINE years working in the same office. It’s basically unheard of. She stated at WJUSD as a student worker when she was in high school and never left. In 38 days, she will be officially retired. CRAZY! And she’s not even 60 years old yet. CONGRATULATIONS Mom! We are so proud of you and happy for you. Can’t wait to celebrate next month!!
FOUR – OSH is hosting a Paint a Pot for MOM event. Super cute!!
Saturday, May 7th
9am – Noon
Kids 12 and under can create a one-of-a-kind gift for mom. OSH provides all the supplies and the event is FREE.
ps – did you know, if you purchase any plant and any pot at OSH, they will pot it for you? This is where I scored my Teacher Appreciation gift for Bay’s teacher and when they offered to pot the succulents for me, I kinda thought it was a joke. What a cool service. Huge time saver too. I was able to put that big ass bag of potting soil back.
Plus, their garden center is gorgeous. I’m an OSH plant fan forever now:)

Some Mother’s Day Fun….
If you want a really good laugh, have your kids fill in the blanks…and color in your face/hair while they’re at it. Bailey brought one home yesterday and I will have to share next week. I died. My purse is full of money + wine. Huh? I wish it was 🙂
And because it’s Mother’s Day and I think every Mother deserves a relaxing day with Rosé. I’m sharing the Nugget Secret Sale Coupon with you……Rosé, duh 🙂
