After a week of hardly any workouts, I vow to take the bull by the horns this week. It’s on. I was so busy focusing on so many other things last week, that I didn’t take time to focus on me and what I love to do. Morning workouts are crucial. I’ve learned that it can change my entire mood and day. 5am’s are my time. The only time I’ve got to get shit done. It makes me happy!
I have food prepped and I hit this gym this morning….it’s already a good day.
FRIDAY –
My girl had her 2016 Woodland Wreckers photos ♥
We headed to the Downtown Woodland First Friday. So cool to see families lined up and down Main street shopping + eating + stopping to listen to the music. I was impressed with the turnout.
Bailey’s last GATE session focused on art. They did so many fun projects throughout the 6 weeks. The best part, they were all displayed at the May 1st Friday Art Walk.
So proud of her and all her work. The Art show was all GATE students from Woodland. It was impressive what they young elementary school students can create.
The Bottom Dwellers are always fun to listen to. My nephew, Ben, especially loved the music. If you follow me on snapchat, then you saw the cute video 🙂
Find me at stacy.brown1. Let’s be snap friends!!
We made a quick stop in Poppies Gallery to check out the Tote Vote. That’s Bailey’s strawberry tote below. Sweet Potato Pie + Poppies Gallery host monthly art inspired classes for kids. May was a Farmer’s Market Tote. Each kid that created a tote was entered to win the Woodland Farmers Market Tote design for 2016. Yesterday the winner was announced…..
Bailey WON! WHOOP WHOOP! Thank you family + friends that voted for her tote. She was so excited to hear that she won.
SATURDAY –
Bailey got up early and made smoothies. Bananas + strawberries + honey (seka hills, or course) + greek yogurt + ice. They were delish.
Did anyone else check out the Paint a Pot for Mom at OSH? Bailey decided that she made me enough Mother’s Day gifts already, so she painted a pot for Gram. Pink + polka dots.
I made my second naked cake for the Denim + Diamonds cake auction. I plan to make a chocolate version next week for GG’s birthday 🙂
We went to a fun Kentucky Derby birthday party. The kids painted horses. Such a cute idea. All the kids thought it was pretty cool. Mint Juleps + yummy snacks + derby bets. Great party Anna. Happy Birthday Cole + Reid! We had a blast.
If you know this girl, then you know she never, ever, picks out her clothes. She asks me to every single night at bedtime. Well, she woke up Saturday and picked out her party outfit. Although it was raining, I let her rock it.
Dress // Salt Water Sandals // Denim Jacket
Omega Nu annual Denim + Diamonds went off without a hitch. Well, other than the weather. We did a wine pull game + cake auction + live auction + lots of dancing. I think this was one for the books. Everyone had such a great time. The Yolanda Ranch was the perfect venue for the event. I cant wait to hear what we raised. Denim + Diamonds funds scholarships for high school students. Our 2016 recipients have been chosen and they are all well deserved.
All the girls. Friends + sisters.
SUNDAY
Bailey + I lounged ALL DAY LONG. It was a dream. Only thing that could have made it better was a little sunshine so I could lay out. Cory brought us a pizza, so I was a happy bitch, let me tell ya 🙂
We headed to Davis for dinner with the family.
Three generations. Love this lady. The rock of our family. Thank you for all you do for us Mom. You are always there and I can count on you for ANYTHING. Not only are you an amazing Mom, you’re a wonderful Gram to my daughter. She loves you with all her heart. Thanks for being my road dog, my best friend and wine drinking partner. Cheers!!
I hope everyone had a great Mother’s Day!! I know I did 🙂 I even got to do a little on-line shopping today with my gifts. Cant wait to share what I ordered!!!
