Happy Monday!! Drink coffee not champagne 🙂
Someone told me “The week is yours. Own it.” And that’s exactly what I plan to do. I woke up feeling focused and ready to conquer.
Let’s talk about this spring-like weekend we had. OMG!! It was food for my sole. Seeing the sunshine two days in a row was just what I needed. I enjoyed as much outdoor time as possible. All I can think of – spring clothes are coming out! Yeessss. I even bought a pair of shorts.
Friday night we lounged (like in pj’s by 6pm) and had pizza 🙂 My girlfriend Sara, told me how she orders her “healthier” pizza from Papa Murphy’s and I’m hooked. Thin crust, no cheese, no sauce. Then add olive oil and feta. It’s so so so good. According to My Fitness Pal, it’s 120 calories per piece of pizza. Fucking made my day since I had 3 slices. LOL. Pizza Pizza!
Saturday I started my day with good ol Kaia Power Hour. Lots of jump roping + running. Two thing that don’t mix with my poor weak bladder. But, I did it. And it felt amazing….when I was done. Haha. Really, it helps set the tone of the weekend and I like that.
We were on pig duty Saturday + Sunday. Bailey loved every second of it. Lot’s of Babe time. Check out my video on facebook here.
Saturday evening we went to the Woodland Little League crab feed. What a fun party. They really do a great job putting on such a successful event. It was our first time and we had a blast.
Cory convinced me to take a tequila shot before. I spilled half of it down my face. Such a rookie move. Obviously I don’t take shots often. The look on my face says it all.
The crab was some of the best I’ve had in a very long time. I ate wayyy too much.
We didn’t win any prizes, but we didn’t mind. With G+T’s & wine in hand and a DJ we were good to go……
As promised, we woke up at 6:30 am Sunday morning and headed to the city. Bailey’s 4th grade mission project is due next week. Since she was given the SF Mission, I had promised we would tour it before we built it. I’m so happy we did. It was more beautiful than I had imagined. We equally agreed that the cemetery was our favorite part. It is so incredibly peaceful and full of history. We walked though and ready every tombstone.
Mission San Francisco de Asís, or Mission Dolores, is the oldest surviving structure in San Francisco and the seventh religious settlement established as part of the California chain of missions. The Mission was founded on June 29, 1776, by Lieutenant José Joaquin Moraga and Francisco Palóu, both members of the de Anza Expedition, which had been charged with bringing Spanish settlers to Alta California, and evangelizing the local Natives, the Ohlone.
With the super bowl being in the City, I was worried about the crowds and traffic. Much to my surprise, we had neither. SF was a ghost town at 9am. I was shocked.
Since it was sunny and 72 in SF, I convinced Bailey we had to walk the Lyon Street Steps. With breathtaking views of the Bay + some sweat on our brows, it was quite enjoyable. Bailey was in awe of a 9 month pregnant (totally guessing) woman that was running the steps and managed to lap us twice. She was impressive.
We headed to Berkeley to do a little exploring + dinning. Spenger’s Fish Grotto has been on my radar so we checked it out. We were the ONLY customers in the restaurant for our whole meal. It was creepy. As we were leaving some people finally walked in. How have I never been to Berkeley? What a cute quaint little town. We walked around and did a little shopping. Andddddd – I got my eyebrows tinted at the Benefit Brow Bar. Every time I look in the mirror, I do a double take. They are kinda dark. I needed a change, so I’m digging it.
We could have stayed all day.
This is how I feel about the Super Bowl…..
Since one of my girlfriends was there and part of the halftime show – I did watch a tiny bit of the game. All in hopes of catching a glimpse of her. And there they are.
Hi Robins!! So fucking bad ass!!!
