After posting on my stories last Friday – everyone wanted to know more about the winery we visited.
Before I get busy and never get it posted, here ya go – making shit happen today 🙂
Let me introduce you to this little slice of heaven, Caymus-Suisun….
All I’m gonna say…..
Put Caymus on you MUST-DO list for Summer!!!
Not only is the wine amazing, but you won’t want to leave. The landscaping, architecture, garden….stunning! I could have sat there all damn day.
Here’s the tip….
You don’t have to have a reservation. Although the website says differently.
Tastings do require a reservation. Brace yourself when you click the link – they are booked out until July for weekend tastings. We actually had a reservation for last Friday. I made it wayyyy in advance. Weekdays are much easier to score a resy – FYI!
There are two options for tastings….
$25/person for the Suisun Valley Tasting. 5 varieties
$50/person for the Select Tasting. 8 varieties
You get a table for 75 minutes with the option to add on a cheese plate for $25 or cheese + charcuterie plate for $32. The reservation patio is gorgeous and they reserved outdoor areas are prime.
You can also do walk-in’s…..
No reservation required. We switched from our reservation to walk-in once we arrived.
Here’s the deal….I’m dabbling in alcohol again, after over a year off the booze. So, tastings are not my thing anymore. I’m more of a glass of wine kinda girly-pop. Nothing wrong with tastings, I just know for me personally – mixing lots of different wines does not work for my body anymore.
With a walk-in you have access to whole winery, just certain seating areas are not available without a reservation. You order you glass of wine from the bar. They have lots to choose from. Even a $45/glass option…lol.
We had a glass, walked the winery. Cory had the Walking Fool, red blend. And I went with the Petite Sirah. Both were BOMB!
This was actually a pit stop on our way to the Giants game. Perfect little landing spot in-between, if you ask me. Stop at Mankas Corner if you have time. Some cute shops + places to grab a drink (or 2)!!
