Normally at the beginning a new year I like to set goals. You know – Loose weight. Dry January. Spending freeze. Save money.

Honestly – FUCK that. It’s 2021. I’m going to stick with a more playful list of wishes and dreams. Things I’m truly looking forward to.

And manifest the shit out of it.

Just seems like maybe this approach could be a little more effective, ya know what I mean? So I’m giving it a try! What on your list?

Turn our backyard into a little oasis || We spent so much time in our backyard last summer. Cooking. Drinking. Tanning. Playing. I want to make it our own retreat. Cory + Bay are working on shed plans. Then come spring, it’s ON!!!

Feel stronger || Not only physically, but mentally. I really struggled with this over the last 6 months. That shit is hard!

Hon in on home decor || Only buy items for our space I truly LOVE. I want to start blogging more about it too. Maybe I’ll start a monthly coffee table styling?

Rent a beach house || Someplace we’ve never been? I want to fall asleep + wake up at the ocean. It’s one of the only places my heart + brain can truly rest.

Cook more favorites || Instead of constantly “trying something new” + “testing” new recipes. Stick with some of family faves.

Go || Kayaking. Golfing. Swimming. Tennis. Snowshoeing. Shelling. Spend more time doing the shit we dig. All the seasonal activities.

Solidify kitchen remodel plans || Not really ready to start the process of busting down walls just yet. More of the logistics. Create a floor plan we both agree on. (ha!!) Materials we want to use. Find appliances that work for our space. Splurge on a dutch door. A girl can dream!!

Let go of control || Hi, my name is Stacy and I’m a control freak!

Plant eucalyptus + olive tree || And fill my house with all the clippings each week.

Notice the good in others || Then actually tell them.

Trails || Load up our bikes and try out fun biking or even walking trails in the area. There are so many good ones and I want to see them all.

Stock Tank Pool || Try to convince Cory we need a Stock Tank Pool for the summertime.

Mother Daughter Weekend || Take Bay for a long weekend of sunshine + pool time + good food – right here: Indian Springs

Find a good groomer || Our poor Charlie! My goal is to find bomb ass golden doodle groomer and keep up on it. Recommendations welcome 🙂

Family || Spend more time with the ones who have to love me no matter what. HA! “Be a part of” and not just watch our nephews grow up. Does that make sense? I want to be more present with my people!!

Have more fun || Silly fun. Stupid fun. Just for fun.

ADDED…..

Hike the Half Dome || Hoping + praying that we get selected for the permit! It’s a lottery system so there are NO guarantees. This is at the tippy top of my 2021 that is more of a lifetime bucket list item! Fingers crossed!

I’m sure I’ll be adding to this throughout the year, but I think this is a good start!
