Back on July 13th, the day all the gyms in California were shut down for the second time since covid. I got a wild hair and pulled the trigger on one of the biggest purchase. A Peloton bike.

Not going to lie, I instantly had nerve turds…ha! What if I don’t use it? What if I hate it? What if it’s not worth the money? Or all the hype?

It’s been 30-days and I feel confident enough to give an honest review……

I’ve gathered some of the most asked questions since September 1st, when I began my Peloton journey.

Is the Peloton worth all the hype?

Answer: HELL YES! That is, if you use it. I have friends that bought them and use them mainly for hanging clothes. If you’re considering it, I say DO IT! There is a 30-day money back guarantee. If you decide after 30-days it’s just not your thing. Peloton will pick up the bike and credit your account.

How much is the bike?

Answer: The bike alone is $1,895. I personally ordered the Bike Works. Which is $2,145. Peloton recently reduced the prices of the bike! The Works induces: Bike + 12 month warranty + delivery + shoes + weights + headphones + heart rate monitor + bike mat. Everything you need! I used the Affirm, which is a 0% interest rate financing option with Peloton. I pay about $60/month. You can select the length of your loan which will determine you month payment. Monthly payments are set on auto pay. You can either pay for the bike in full or choose Affirm. These are the only 2 payment options.

Do you really need the app too?

Answer: Yes, you to! It’s $39/month. Before you can start using your bike, you will be required to subscribe to the app.

Do you really need cycling shoes to use the Peloton?

Answer: Yes, you will 100% need shoes. There are options on Amazon that are compatible with the Peloton.

What if I want a full body workout?

Answer: Peloton now offers more than just cycling classes. The bike comes with weights that are used in many of the classes for toning. But there are so many options off the bike as well.

Is the Peloton good for beginners?

Answer: Yep! I consider myself a beginner. I’ve taken spin classes in the past, but I hadn’t been on a spin bike in over a year when I got mine. Your butt will hurt like hell for about a week. Then you’ll be good to go. Trust me, it takes about a week.

Who are your favorite instructors?

Answer: Cody Rigsby. My boo! Ha! You guys, he is hilarious. Like, I want him to be my best friend. He brings so much joy and comedy in his classes. I find myself singing out loud and dancing. I loved his Brittney Spears ride even if you’re not a Brittney fan. But honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of his classes.

Does your ass hurt?

Answer: So bad. Only for a week though. I googled seat pads. Padded shorts. Bigger seats. Then my ass was good to go. Just deal with it. Promise it’s short lived.

Do you ride everyday?

Answer: I set a very unrealistic goal of riding everyday. Not that it’s totally impossible. I aim for 5 days a week. Some mornings I can only squeeze in a 15-20 minute ride. Trust me, it’s better than nothing. I get off with a pool of sweat. Some days I shoot for a 45 minute ride.

Can you share your code?

Answer: Of course. Use code: DBATPR for $100 off your purchase. This code can also be found in the link in my bio on my instagram page too!
